“I live in NJ, so I’ll tell you what I see when I pull up for a peek.”

I live in Bergen County. I couldn’t agree more with your evaluation of the typical Obama supporter. I have seen fewer Obama stickers than Kerry Stickers in ‘04 (A Stronger America, my butt)

I live in Fair Lawn, so I guess we’re seeing the same people!

I would LOVE to see an enterprising tv crew set up a car with McCain/Palin bumper stickers then use a hidden camera to see who does what to the car! I'd be willing to bet on the outcome. It would also be interesting to see them plan a car with Obama/Biden stickers in a conservative part of town. I'd bet even money it could sit there for a week and no one would touch it.

Of course I could be wrong on both counts!

I was pretty discouraged before the convention, as 3 relatives of my husband had Obama signs in their front yards, and one of them is a WWII vet. We'd just pass by and shake our heads. I would cheer up a bit when I'd see a McCain sticker.

I don't know how to post a link, but here's one to a pretty good t-shirt I may order for DH.

They help the leftists know which cars to vandalize and which homes to burn.

Does planting a McCain-Palin Yard Sign and applying a McCain-Palin Bumper Sticker help the cause at all?

Yes, most definitely it helps the cause. Displaying a bumper sticker is almost as good as a $250 contribution. Making a donation and displaying the bumper sticker is even better.

I have talked to people who fear their car will be vandalized if they display a McCain bumper sticker. That in itself tells me to vote for McCain.

Here in NoVA, the majority of Obama stickers are affixed to the upscale cars and SUVs of wealthy young professionals, the majority of whom appear to be recent arrivals (both to our area AND to the USA).

I got flipped the #1 driver sign twice on the way home again!! The first was a fairly young gal, so I blew her a kiss. Another #1 driver sign.

The second was an old dried up prune type woman, so I decided not to blow her a kiss. PETA and “Fight poverty, not war” stickers next to her obambi sticker.

If it didn’t help, they would do it. When you see a bunch of someones signs, you feel like they have a lot of support and must be well liked, it might sway a person’s vote. Not an educated voter, but one of those people who decide on the day of election kind of voter.

Years ago, I put a sign up when I lived in NC.. My neighbor saw it, and voted for the person on my sign. She commented to me that she saw my political sign, and thought she would vote the same as me “since I know a lot..”
