Now the DUmmies are self-rightously up in arms because, of all things, she bought a tanning bed when she became Governor.
"Hi. My name is Beachmom, and I am a Melanoma survivor. I just got back from my Dermatologist this week, and was asked if I ever use a tanning bed. I said, NO! I was told that even people without fair skin like me put themselves at risk for skin cancer if they use a tanning bed. In short, using tanning beds is risky behavior, and I am unsure why they are still legal. But at the least of it, I expect political candidates on the presidential ticket to be a role model, and not engage in risky behavior like using a tanning bed for purely vain reasons of looking good on TV. It is just so wrong!
If Sarah Palin would like to have a tan, she should go to a salon where she can be given self tanning lotion. This is safe, and since it's done in a salon, it will look good.
Frankly, it is an insult to every skin cancer survivor that she owns a tanning bed. And to the taxpayers in Alaska as well, if indeed they paid for it."

Yeah, right. At least one DUmmie has a clue:
"There are 3.5 hours of dim daylight in Anchorage in winter.
Vitamin D deficiency is actually a higher risk at that latitude than melanoma.
Even in summer, UV at that latitude is strongly attenuated."
But, of course, the other DUmmies don't like to listen to reason:

I take it none of them ever lived in Alaska where you get very little sunlight for six months out of a year. A lot of folks have these to simply keep healthy.
Have any of these jerkoffs ever had to actually LIVE in a state where you get two hours to NO hours of daylight for weeks on end every year?

Um, tanning beds and full-spectrum lights are useful during the 4 month “nights” to keep up vitamin D production and maintain mental acuity. Too bad the DUmmies are too stupid to know those common facts...

heck, I have tanned in NY state during one gloomy winter....I didn’t think it made much of a difference....so I bought a desk lamp called a sunlight lamp at Sam’s.....now I get my sun while FReeping........

There are all sorts of problems with the lack of sunlight in the winter and a person’s energy level and that’s here in California. I don’t know if a tanning bed helps like those full spectrum lights do but aren’t these guys getting a case of the vapors over nothing.
After all, they overlook the one’s smoking and past cocaine use.
