Yeah isn’t the word vaunted supposed to preceed Republican Guard whenever they are mentioned? I mean Iraq’s “Vaunted Republican Guard” were such fierce fighters after all.

Well, considering that the Iraqis and Iranians fought each other for eight years and neither side came out victors yet the US kicked Sadam’s military in, what, 2.7 seconds … bring it on Iran. ;-)

Hey, I want the “Elite” Republican Guards.

You know, just like the ones in Iraq that the US military ran into the ground in about 37 minutes.

One wonders if the US has to render aid and pick up survivors after we sink them. One wonders what the rules of engagement say.

If a war does break out with Iran, I think we should concentrate on the Revolutionary Guards, and leave the regular military alone.

Ken Timmermann told Christian radio station WAVA that the US should leave the IRGC alone and target the leadership.

Somehow I think a fight between Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and the USMC would be a very one-sided affair (and I don’t need to say who would prevail!).

I thought the Revolutionary Guard had the primary responsibility for defending the mullahs.

I’m sure they will photoshop a bunch of WW2 ships claiming the Iranian fleet is performing war games.

I think that's exactly the reason why the Revolutionary Guards were singled out by US as terrorists. They are the actual forces of the Islamic Regime in Iran.
