Is Barack Obama just a little too tight with his teleprompter?

Barack Obama must be tired of hearing the well- founded criticism that without a teleprompter, he becomes a mere mortal when it comes to public speaking.
At outdoor rallies in Colorado on Monday, he used the device for the first time in a less-than-formal setting. His campaign said he was rolling out a new stump speech and wanted to get it just right.
Or could it be that [cue the weird, science-fiction-movie music] the device is using him?
Scene One - Morning, Sept. 15, in the limo on the way to the Cross Orchards Living History Farm in Grand Junction, Colo.
Now look here, Barack. No, I mean it: Look . . . right . . . here. That's better.
You're forcing me to roll some text that I'd rather not, but here it is: I made you, and I can break you. You need me. You know you need me. So we're going to do this my way. You read me, mister?
But these rallies are outside. It's going to look funny. What if it rains? What if there's . . . glare?
Stop worrying. It'll be fine. You need to focus. If people notice me, tell them you're rolling out a new speech and you want to get it just right. We have to get used to doing it this way, and you'll be surprised how quickly people get used to it, too. The main thing is they want you to sound good. They don't want to listen to you stumble around all morning just to make a hash of the old pig-in-lipstick gag.

Do you think if we were able to substitute a Palin speech on Obama’s telepromter he would read it and not even know?

That is one reason why he won't do "townhalls" with McCain.
When it comes to the debates, he will need an 'earwig' so he can be fed answers like on that game show movie. His 'handlers' behind the curtain will have to feed him the answers to all questions and McCain responses and rebuttals.

Is Barack Obama just a little too tight with his teleprompter?
I noticed his clear need for the teleprompter and a prepared speech 2 weeks ago when he made that now infamous reference to "pig with lipstick". He was trying very hard to come up with the right words to segway into his "pig with lipstick" comments, and was rubbing his forehead and covering his eyes while trying to formulate his comments. (The body language expert from FOX gave him a pass on that incident, but my belief is that she's on the side of Obama).
He's going to need that teleprompter and prepared remarks from his speech writers during the debates. I'm pretty sure the debate handlers and the MSM might want to accommodate him with those.

“Are these wireless devices?”
Since he’s developed a meaningful relationship with his, I expect it’s battery operated and comes in a plain brown wrapper.
