Intelligence obtained by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reveals that Iran has been modifying its Shihab-3 ballistic missiles to carry nuclear warheads.
IAEA agents presented the intelligence on Tuesday after Iran rejected their requests to formally examine its ballistic missile program alongside an ongoing investigation into the intents of its nuclear program.
Senior IAEA officials called the information "very credible" and demanded that Iran provide "substantive responses."
Tehran rejected the intelligence as "forged."
Meanwhile, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi on Tuesday called Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad a lunatic, but warned against taking his threats against Israel too lightly.
Speaking to a Jewish organization in Paris, Berlusconi said that the world "must pay the utmost attention to the lunacy of someone who says...that Israel must be wiped off the map."
A senior US political figure said that while Washington is keeping a close eye on Ahmadinejad, there is now a prevailing assumption that international diplomatic efforts are succeeding in putting pressure on Iran, and that military intervention will not be necessary to halt the Islamic Republic's quest for nuclear weapons.
Speaking to The Jerusalem Post, David Wurmser, a former national security advisor to US Vice President Dick Cheney, said that Israel should know there is now no chance of President George W. Bush launching a military strike against Iran before the end of his second term in January.
Yeah, the genuises in Israel will just keep letting this freight train roll toward them in slow motion without doing anything. But don’t worry—the US and Europe will protect them, right? Wrong. If Iran nukes Israel, Europe will breath a sigh of relief and the US (under an Obama administration) will say harsh things, but otherwise offer a collective shrug. And, of course, the Palis will dance gleefully in the streets as the nuclear fallout rains down on them.

If Iran nukes Israel then Israel will let fly with their own hardware and they’ll skip the part where they ask us for permission to do so. Likely targets would be Haifa or Tel Aviv since Jerusalem is holy to the muslims and Iran would be immediately attacked by the rest of the muslim nations were Jerusalem destroyed.
I wouldn't worry about Israel. The U.S. and Europe [E.U.] are not going to come to the aid of Israel in the upcoming war that Joel C. Rosenberg calls "The War of Gog & Magog". God, Himself comes to Israel's aid. Israel will not be destroyed by nuclear weapons. Those that launch them will. Many non-believers will become believers because of the miracle deliverance of Israel as God shows Himself real. Read Joel's book Epicenter or Ezekiel 38 & 39.
The end-game begins.
It's the site that is holy, not anything there, including all the Muslims who live there. Ahmanutjob will nuke it along with Haifa and Tel Aviv, just as soon as he gets a few warheads to do it with.
Remember though his point is to bring on Armageddon, so as to entice the hidden Imam to come out of that well. So he doesn't really care about nor he deterred by, Israeli retaliatory capability.
We and the Israelis need to forget about getting into his head, which what "deterrence" is all about, and remove his capability to act. We need to do it soon, very soon.
Bush isn’t going to do anything. Better to leave it to the next President from his point of view, I’m sure. If Obama wins then it’ll be a certainty that Iran will attack Israel but they may well do it even if McCain wins. I guess we’ll see.
