I guess they wanted the market to crash so that they could pick up Lehman's Bros at $0.13 ps. They just could not have done Sunday evening.

This is definitely market manipulation. After Monday’s meltdown, LEH after hour stocks drifted upward. I guess Barclay needed another meltdown to get the stock where they wanted it; at the expense of 401k holders.

“I guess Barclay needed another meltdown to get the stock where they wanted it; at the expense of 401k holders.”

So, if you had LEH in your portfolio, exactly how is that Barclay’s fault?

No that’s not what I meant. I doubt any one would have LEH in their portfolio.

Fear and Greed.

Sell when the sheeple are wanting to show off their things and smarts.

Buy when the sheeple are so scared the world is ending that they will give away their play=pretties.

People... especially pols and reporters that hype this correction should be shot for inciting fear and screwing with the economy. IT IS AN ACT OF WAR and I am going to remember!

***Buy low, sell high***

Buy high, sell low is my strategy! Works every time! Now I'm looking for a bridge to live under.

This thing still hasn’t shaken out completely.

Housing prices were run up so artificially high, they still have a ways to come down.

I’m betting it will be 1-2 yrs before it bottoms out (but what do I know).

Great plan--but don't miss the ones who are way-way over their heads and looking for lifeboats...

I’ve looked at some of those, and they are still underwater (ie, mortgages still higher than the value of the house).
