WASHINGTON — Florida Rep. Allen Boyd's son was arrested in Arizona Sunday and charged with human smuggling after K-9 dogs allegedly sniffed out individuals hiding in the bed of his truck.
John F. Boyd attempted to drive through a Border Patrol security check in Willcox, court documents revealed, according to KVOA-TV in Phoenix. Five illegal aliens, including a 6-year-old girl, were found in the truck.
The criminal complaint obtained by KVOA states, "At the primary inspection area, a Border Patrol K-9 alerted to the possible presence of illegal aliens in the bed of the truck. A primary inspection agent approached the truck and saw an individual hiding under a piece of plywood in the bed of the truck."
The documents also say the illegal immigrants planned to pay $3,000 each to Boyd to smuggle them into the final destination in the United States.
The vehicle contained "two plastic bags that contained several rocks of crystal methamphetamine, four unopened syringes, a spoon with white residue and burn marks on the bottom, and three knives. A further search of the vehicle revealed a Beretta 22LR pistol loaded with eight rounds of ammunition and a spare magazine loaded with eight rounds of ammunition in a suitcase in the bed of the truck," read documents cited by KVOA.
In a statement sent to FOXNews.com, the Democratic congressman acknowledged that his son attended a preliminary hearing on Monday and was charged with "alien smuggling."
"This is a family matter that my family and I will be dealing with privately. John is a grown man and must face the consequences for his actions, but he has the love and support of his family," Boyd said.
Boyd's office told FOXNews.com that he would not provide further comment.

John F. Boyd doesn’t sound too slick. He would have run less risk doing prearranged pickups of people who had already crossed. He is clearly meth-addled and doing anything to support his habit.

Yes, he serves the 2nd district here. He is my Congresscritter....here’s hoping he loses this November. He has had 7 terms and no real competition until this time.

Holy Sh** !!! I am in his Daddy’s former district. I wonder how many he has hauled back here?? I can tell you there are thousands of “immigrants” in our tiny rural area, and I would bet that 90% of them aren’t here legally.
My brother is a deputy and the majority of his calls are to go out and deal with some raucus caused by these people. It seem’s that the ones who come with their family in tow are much more polite and law abiding(apart from the fact that they are breaking it by being here) and you hardly ever have problems out of them, but you do see higher crime in the “bachelor groups” stabbings, fights, stealing, etc.
I understand that these folks are only trying to make their life better, but the ones who come here illegally cast a shadow on the honest law abiding immigrants who are here LEGALLY!!
We won’t even get into how much they can cost the tax payers.

IMHO, this story along with the Dem son in Tenn who hacked Palins computer, along with all of the other fumbling and bumbling on the part of Democrats EVERYWHERE is what life would be like on a permanant basis if BO were to become POTUS.
I further believe that these incidents were from people who assumed that he was going to be POTUS and were just getting warmed up.
