Did William Ayers Ghost-Write Obama Memoir?
World Net Daily ^ | Sept. 18, 2008 | Reynaldo Mahatma Smith

Posted on 09/18/2008 3:11:56 PM PDT by attiladhun2

According to Jack Cashill (see this link), there is mounting evidence to indicate that Barack Obama was not the author of his now famous memoir, Dreams From My Father. His research into Obama's literary background shows that, prior to 1990, Obama had written nothing of note. Then like a bolt from the blue, Obama produces a work described by Time Magazine as "the best-written memoir ever produced by an American politician."

Cashill observes, "I had questioned whether the influential Muslim crackpot who paved Obama’s way into Harvard, Khalid al Mansour, might have greased his way into the world of publishing as well." However, upon comparing the text of Obama's book to that of William Ayers' 2001 memoir Fugitive Days, Cashill now believes that the Obama book is substantially a product of the unrepentant former terrorist. He cites two passages from each book as evidence:

I picture the street coming alive, awakening from the fury of winter, stirred from the chilly spring night by cold glimmers of sunlight angling through the city.” Bill Ayers, Fugitive Days.

“Night now fell in midafternoon, especially when the snowstorms rolled in, boundless prairie storms that set the sky close to the ground, the city lights reflected against the clouds.” Barack Obama, Dreams From My Father.

We already know Obama has not been forthcoming about his relationship with Ayers. If Ayers is, indeed, the real author of the Obama memoir, it could well reveal Obama's true puppet master. Were it a shadowy billionaire like George Soros, that would be bad enough, but a fanatical Marxist ideologue and unindicted terrorist!

A forensic textual analysis of Ayers' and Obama's books could answer this question. It could also be the sword that finally slays the presidential asperations of the junior senator from Illinois.

Hey, you have to be able to write well if you’re writing a political autobiography and you have no actual political accomplishments.

I think the media and the world was duped into the “Obama is the Great Orator” by his ‘magnificent’ memoir and his ability to read a teleprompter well.

After hearing how he speaks off teleprompter and the fact that he has never written anything else, maybe they are seeing or picking up on something. They would never admit it at this point because ego is too precious to the MSM and liberals, but deep down I think they know.

Maybe, but we have to be optimistic about truth winning out over untruth.

I doubt that it would have any effect on Obama’s chances to be elected, but it does strike me that, whether Ayers wrote the “memoirs” or not, they were written by someone other than Obama. For one thing, they are so carefully, discreetly massaged to project an image without providing any real information about Obama that they certainly would seem to be the product of somebody who’s a professional at this type of work. And while they’re certainly not great writing, I suspect they’re more than the stumbling, bumbling Obama could produce.

In that case, the question is why? Or, perhaps, the question should be how long the creation of this Manchurian candidate has been in the works, and who is behind it.

“There is nothing in common between these two passages except perhaps they both describe Chicago. Big deal. Cashill should stick to what he knows best - creationism.”

It is the pattern not the word content dingbat.

Its not that Obama is too challenged to speak proper sentences, it is that he has to flip through his mental rolodex to find acceptable phrases. He could, doubtless, wax eloquently about the evils of capitalism, the white man, and America, i.e., what he truly believes, but he knows that rhetoric would doom his campaign.

There are computer programs that can figure this out.

They used it to compare disputed Shakespeare works.

People have frequency of certain words and turns of phrase.

Indeed. It's called forensic authorship analysis.

If Cashill's theory pans out, it would be worthwhile to present the most damning A/B comparisons in a slick 527 commercial that will have Bambi once again howling to the Justice Department and calling TV stations to demand it not be aired. Certainly, his reaction to that earlier ad linking him to Ayers and Dohrn shouts vulnerability on the issue.

What do Osama and Obama have in common? They both know somebody who bombed the Pentagon.

Well Well Well..... From wikipedia

William Charles “Bill” Ayers (born 1944) is an American Distinguished Professor in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is most well known for his violent radical activism in the 1960s and 1970s and his current work in school reform and educational curriculum and instruction. In 1969 he co-founded the militant radical left organization Weatherman active during the 1960s and 1970s and was one of its top leaders.

OMG! As a small time writer and former small publisher, I know creating a First book that has the phrases Obama supposedly used just doesn’t happen. Those kinds of lines come off terribly hackneyed unless you know exactly what you are doing. The Ayers connection seems very believable.

Did you say:

"I hear that the National Enquirer has a blockbuster expose entitled “Obama’s Memoir Ghost Written by Terrorist” but I don't want to post that and have it unfairly put into the Google cache :)"

That's a huge problem for Obama.....

.....if True.

What, a long descriptive sentence of Chicago weather connected by commas? The only smoking gun is that they both took Creative Writing 101 classes. That or Carl Sandburg wrote both of them.

I think if you listen closely, you’ll find both Mr. and Mrs. Obama are really challenged to use the correct pronouns, tense, and agreement in regular conversation. Yes, Obama speaks slowly in part because he’s censoring his real thoughts, but he’s tripped up on grammar as well.

Interesting. I understand the NE is owned by a bigtime Clintonoid.

Me too. If I were given these two papers in a creative writing class by two different students, I’d have to call them in for a frank discussion about authenticity, honesty, and ghostwriter’s royalties.

I don't. If it could be shown that Obama's "autobiography" is actually a fraud composed by a former terrorist bomber, that would rattle a few cages...

What is perhaps even more likely is that both memoirs were ghost written by the same writer.

I can easily imagine Ayers passing along the name of his ghoster to a frustrated Obama who hadn’t been able to progress his book for three years.

The answer to that question is Ayers. Obama and Ayers were both at Columbia U during the same period. Obama refuses to release any information about his grades or activities during that period.
