Bill Clinton praised McCain, ignored Obama and thought highly of his wife. In Bubbaspeak, he gave Obama the shaft. Et tu, Bubba?

Ah yes, it’ll be close until the end.
Bill’s setting the lowest possible expectations that he can. Then when Obama loses he and HRC will take back their party.

“Barring some unforeseen development like in— something happens in the debates we don’t know about. I— I— I— it may not be apparent in the polls until last week or two of the election. But, I believe that it will be apparent on election day. I think that— I think Senator Obama will win this election,” Clinton said.
he is... such a good lawyer to leave an escape hatch that big.

I can't wait for the bumper sticker:
OBAMA/BIDEN
slightly more right than the great man or the instinctively effective candidate.

I wonder what the Scaife/Slick Willie meeting was all about. Anybody ever hear anything about that?

Gee, it seems like Bubba isn’t fully behind Obama. I can’t imagine why.

Interesting. Earnest words of praise for Republicans. Boilerplate support statement for Democrats.
Bill may as well have worn a McCain -*- Palin t-shirt to the interview.

Reading it very carefully, Bill also chose his words carefully. He balanced being diplomatic BUT clearly tilted towards McCain during the first part of the interview. It just proves that no one crosses the Clintons.

Wonder if Hillary will be Obama’s October surprise?

"She handled herself very well," he said, "I get why she's done so well. She, she's, it's a mistake to underestimate her. She's got good intuitive skills. They're significant."I saw the interview and thought Clinton really seemed to admire Palin.

I am starting to believe that long before 2012 the Democrat party will deteriorate into near open civil war between its factions, and will be cracking up. The party was always a collection of special interests which didn't logically belong together. The presidential picks for the Democrats from Carter on seem to be compromise candidates of the factions, moderate white males. But this time, it was an ugly confrontation between two of the special interests, feminists and blacks. From now on, the party may not be able to nominate a moderate compromise candidate, one of the factions must win. Factions who perceive that they can never win will leave, sending the Democrats more to the left, and off into third party obscurity.

Looks like Barry stiffed him with the bill for lunch last week. I guess picking up the tab would’ve helped a little.
