Racial Views Steer White Democrats Away From Obama

Obnoxious!! I realize that most of the birdbrains who write the above titles and subsequent BS are more than likely vegans whose brains have shrunk.

BUT

Give Americans credit. They have endured listening to Obama for the last 2 years. Most have picked up on the fact that elitists like Obama want them to foot the bill once again for the layabouts.

And, if that's not bad enough his associates are criminals and racists.

Furthermore, he may be a closet Muslim. He certainly seems like he's in the tank with them like his friend, Odinga, in Kenya who signed an agreement with the Muslim radicals. Obama supported this guy and meddled in the Kenyan presidential election. When Odinga lost 1,000 Christians lost their lives and their churches in the violence.

And, finally, the big one = Obama asked the Iraqis to halt the withdrawal of American troops until after the election.

Sucka should be in jail = traitor!!!

Every criticism of Obama is due to racism, isn’t it? Imagine if he gets elected, what we’ll have to listen to for the next four or eight years. “You don’t like Obama’s tax policies ? You’re a racist!”. “You don’t like Obama’s cabinet appointments? You’re a Klansman!”. They will tell us that there is no such thing as principled opposition, just racism in disguise. We can’t let this happen.

Calling people racist because they post a picture of 2 blacks is NOT a good way to get me to vote for a proven race baiting, white hating, bigotted socialist!

No doubt. I wonder how the core Democrats are handling the fact that Obama is handing the Republicans the voters on a silver platter.

Surveys like this one appear designed to elicit the types of responses that can most easily be characterized as racism. In these surveys, respondents are forced to generalize about race and to reduce complicated subjects to simplistic black/white answers. And then the liberal media uses these induced generalizations as (gotcha!) proof of racism.

According to this article, the statement that “if blacks would only try harder, they could be just as well off as whites” is considered “latent prejudice” and “whether people believe blacks’ troubles are their own fault” is a measure of racism.

But studies have shown repeatedly that the single biggest correlating factor to the cycle of government dependency and low income in African-American communities is illegitimacy, which is now 70% among African-Americans. And that being raised by a single mother is a strong correlative factor for future crime and failure at school and in the workplace. Whose fault is it if young black women have multiple children out of wedlock and these children are raised without a positive father figure in their lives? How is that the fault of anyone but themselves? Babies generally are made the same way now as they always have been. (The same applies of course to the 50% of hispanic illegitimacy and the over 20% of white illegitimacy.)

The liberals apparently believe it is irrational for people to hold the view that someone’s behavior and actions should have consequences for that person.

“Lazy” is a loaded, pejorative term. Is it an irrational term to apply to an able-bodied person on a government assistance program in a time of relatively low unemployment? Most blacks are not on government assistance programs and most blacks are not violent criminals. But a significantly higher percentage of able-bodied blacks are on government assistance programs than the percentage of all Americans. And a much higher percentage of blacks have committed a violent crime than the percentage of all Americans. If someone, forced to generalize and thinking in terms of deviation from average, uses terms such as “lazy” and “irresponsible” and “violent” in a survey, is that person a racist or has the survey been designed to find as much “racism” as possible?

There was never any downside to Barack. If he won, the Democrat National Committee’s print/audio/video division would be extended long into the future. If he lost, the default template “racism” would kick in until they hoisted their next “victim” to victory or they went out of business.

Why does everything have to be reduced to race? There’s nothing wrong with Obama’s “race”, there’s plenty wrong with his political views.

If it gets polarizingly ugly, these statistics will prevail.

Race and Hispanic/Latino origin

Total Population 296,410,404 100.0%
Single race
White 237,854,954 80.2
Black or African American 37,909,341 12.8
American Indian and Alaska Native 2,863,001 1.0
Asian 12,687,472 4.3
Native Hawaiian
and other Pacific Islander 516,612 0.2

Two or more races 4,579,024 1.5
Some other race n.a. n.a.
Hispanic or Latino 42,687,224 14.4

Source: U.S. Census Bureau, National Population Estimates.
May, 2006

NOTE: Percentages do not add up to 100% due to rounding
and because Hispanics may be of any race and are
therefore counted under more than one category.

Ah! The media is laying the groundwork and setting up the "he lost because America is racist" excuse.

They will use race and fear to promote more hate and anger within each party. Obama will ride in to rescue the country from the injustice!

I was speaking with a friend of long standing, with whom I never agree politically. Usually we avoid politics, but this time we got on the subject, thanks to the Wall Street bailouts. I was really taken aback when he implied that I was against Obama because of his race. It was an inane assumption, given that our friend can't point to any instance in which I've behaved that way. I explained that it was Obama's policies that I can't support, having had family flee from communism once already and not caring to do it in my generation. I sent him a series of links surrounding Fannie, Freddie, attempted reforms and campaign contributions to Democrats. He promised to read them, but replied that he'd been gobsmacked that I'd ask him why he supported Obama. Apparently he can't conceive of another point of view. Like many Dems, he's so deep into this group think and Bush hatred, that all he can do is spew talking points about illegal war, oil connections, etc. It was really sad to have him imply racism though.

The curious thing I find in all this is that I know so many Dems who support Obama and his sort vehemently while living their own lives in a mostly conservative fashion. They are good neighbors, work hard, pay their taxes, raise good kids, etc. They don't realize that they are in fact living the conservative life in most respects but getting sucked into voting liberal mostly through soft-hearted lack of critical thinking.

...one-third of white Democrats harbor negative views toward blacks — many calling them "lazy," "violent," responsible for their own troubles.”

Had an interesting debate once with a white, Jewish, liberal woman who ran the gamut from, pro gun control because "you want another black kid with a Saturday Night Special", to "abortion needs to be legal so their won't be so many poor little black crack babies." It was quite a revealing conversation that took place that day in the produce dept..

I would agree with you except for one thing. Obama’s father’s Kenyan, not African-American, and Obama grew up in Hawaii and Indonesia. The only thing that’s ghetto about Obama is probably where he gets his arugula from. He’s a spoiled, rich, token from Hawaii passing himself off as an “Authentic Black”.

I’m more “Authentic” than Obama and I was born in the West Indies, I speak with a Minnesota accent (Hint to the idiot that pretended to be me at the Minnesota Freedom Rally), I listen to heavy metal, I play hockey and the only signs of me even growing up with anything that’s remotely related to African American culture is that I grew up in a predominantly African-American turned Hispanic neighborhood.

Heck, what the hell am I doing sitting on this messageboard? I should run for president as a Democrat. They allow any guy with dark skin to pass himself off as “Authentic”, so they might as well allow me to run.

That’s probably a given, an an outcome I’d take rather than have the radical socialist win.

I will never vote for an African American for President.
I will however be proud to vote for an American who happens to also be black as long as he is conservative.

In fact the person I use as a role model at work is a black woman who worked her way up to the top before quotas.

She went to school at night while caring for her parents and family and working fulltime.

She didn’t allow anyone to use race for or against as an excuse. She demanded hard work and honesty.

If you went to her with a problem you better have a solution.

I watched people go into her office looking cocky and sure and come out with their eyes down cast and their knees shaking.
