what about the people born here?

seriously, the MSM is so busy trying to pump their ratings and rescue obama the marxist, that they are missing the “WHY”.

So busy repeating DNC talking points that they are missing the “WHAT”

What people want is a leader who speaks for them not AT them. Someone who is conservative as the majority of the nation. conservative is not locked in the past, conservative respects the past but builds a future.

The WHY is centered on why are conservatives united now behind McCain? McCain was persona non-grata to the base. Palin came in as a CONSERVATIVE and the core united IN 24HOURS! then people noticed the vp pick was a woman and asked, “but she is a conservative.”

The MSM is refusing to do their jobs under the first amendment. It is little wonder it is left to us amatures to do the job right and BETTER.

[that last sentence must realllly frost the “paid media personalities”]

Exactly and when you put it all together there are two clear choices in govt. today, the Socialist/marxists on the left and the Free Market capitalists on the right. Let's hope we make our case better than we have in the past.(Thank God for Sarah)

If I had to guess I would say that Rush gets as much as 35-50% of his info off the web. Some days more, some days less. FR is always a part of that equation although we seldom get credit. Whether its 5% on some days or as much as 10-15% on others is hard to say but to infer that we have no influence at all would be naive.

Back, back under the bridge, too early for you.

Are you sure you want to begin yet another of your periodic descents into masochism at my hands?

Avail yourself, I beseech you, of this opportunity to quit now after having lobbed only one of your unwarranted and characteristically dull-minded cheap shots, lest you compel me to mop the floor with you again (rhetorically speaking).

Exactly, the banking system had some pretty hard fast rules it worked with for many years. For most mortgage seekers you had to have enough income to meet monthly obligations and you needed a substantial down payment in order to buy a home. When those rules were thrown out in the trash it was only a matter of time.

I like to go with the ronald reagan concept:

you can get a lot done if you don’t care who gets credit.

does it matter that bill clinton is the one who signed the 1996 immigration reform doing away with anchor babies? (not to be confused with birthright citizenship), the 1996 Defense of Marriage Amendment, or Welfare reform?

If we can, as unpaid volunteers, help then that is just a plus.

This is all about the ‘Rats rewriting history. They will repeat the LIES often enough.....”Bushes fault.....Halliburton.....Enron........etc.” The MSM puppets will simply nod there approving heads and smile. Makes me SICK. Bush attempted to warn the Congress several times and NOTHING was done.

Brilliant post.

I am buying what Hannity's latest mantra has been that the year 2008 has witnessed the death of the media as we know it.He's right

They(the DBM) have been so in the tank for boma, so willing to let their legs tingle and do whatever the DNC has asked that we have witnessed the death of one media and the birth of another, us.

We, The New Media will slowly carry the ball into the future and the DBM will slowly become relegated to the back benchers that they have become.

Thanks for this one too.

I have been talking to a retired HUD official and she was warning about this happening for years.

She’s in the I Told You So mode right now. LOL

Good Morning everyone!

Popping in briefly before heading to the Western WA State Fair in Pullyup (6th largest fair in the nation :-).

I see they’re having Schmuckie, Dodd and Barney on to re-write history and try to explain that they had no part of this mess, it’s all Bush’s fault TM and, that we need to protect not only Wall Street but Main Street (the Dims new mantra).

Schumer, Dodd and Frank Asleep At The Wheel or Stuck On Stupid?

This Blog is specifically intended for liberal Democrats Charles Schumer, of New York, Chris Dodd of Connecticut and Barney Frank of Massachusetts. I want to know from you three and others like you who share your ideas of what government should be, where in the “Sam Hill” were you gentlemen as the current financial house of cards was starting to show signs of folding?

“This financial storm may have been created to make Bush look bad”

From the article I posted earlier in this thread:

Why didn’t you three or the “Dali-Bama” push for the passage of sweeping banking, mortgage lending and loan insurance reform legislation back in 2003 and 2005? Bush, McCain and hundreds of economists saw this disaster coming, but oh no not you!

Simply stated it was because Schumer, Dodd, Frank and your cronies like Reid, Rangel, Murtha, Boxer, Diane “Franken-Feinstein”, Hillary “Rotten” Clinton, and Nancy “Stretch” Pelosi were too busy concentrating on blocking every piece of legislation on the Presidential wish list just to make the administration look bad. The plan was to keep the public and the news media focused on the war in Iraq, all in an effort to swing power back to liberal Democrats prior to the election.

Well you three back benchers it worked and thank you for this mess we are in. Now you and so many others on the liberal left, including Senators Joe Biden and Barack Obama want to cry foul... and it stinks sirs.

President Bush and John McCain saw this coming and you three did nothing, just because you clowns were in the middle of a big power grab you all chose to sit on your hands while leading in the charge to do nothing! You and so many others like you on the left refused the pass the FDIC Banking Reform Act of 2005 H.R. 1185 and you also refused to pass the Mortgage Regulatory Reform Act of 2005. Each of you claim now that Republicans have supposedly pushed us into this mess, yet you all continually blocked the passage of proposed Republican legislation to prevent it, just so you could win an election!

Wonder if 0bama’s financial advisor will relay Bambi’s plan, or if he’s still holding back (reminds me of sKerry in the last election, “I have a PLAN” (though he never wanted to share any of them):
“Given the gravity of this situation, and based on conversations I have had with both Secretary Paulson and Chairman Bernanke, I have asked my economic team to refrain from presenting a more detailed blue-print of how an immediate plan might be structured until the Treasury and the Federal Reserve have had an opportunity to present their proposal.”

it was also the fact the original lender did not care if there was a default because they were out of the risk by selling the note.

It is so bad that many notes can not be found. Note holders have actually lobied, and got, lost note reconstruction laws modified. (you don’t actually need to have the physical note if the judge can order the note as paid to prevent a future holder demanding payment.)

I suspect some of the sleazier bundles will be found to have duplicate sales for the same mortgage promisory note.

We are going through a financial surgery, there is going to be a recovery healing time and better in the long haul.

Yep. And when you did make a down payment, it couldn’t come from a ‘piggyback loan’.

Even if Wall Street hadn’t sometimes been lax in slicing and dicing mortgage-backed securities, there’d still be a lot of bad mortgages out there—looking to roost somewhere.
