Alaskans angered that Palin is off-limits
Los Angees Times ^ | September 21, 2008 | Kim Murphy

Queries are directed through the McCain campaign machine. Her political capital at home is eroding.

Jerry McCutcheon went to Sarah Palin's office here last week to request information about the firing of former Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan, the scandal that for weeks has threatened to overshadow the governor's role as Republican presidential candidate John McCain's running mate.

McCutcheon was given a phone number in Virginia to call: the national headquarters of the McCain-Palin campaign.

Why, he wanted to know, did he have to call a campaign office 4,300 miles away to find out what was going on in Alaska government? The longtime civic activist phoned his local state representative, Les Gara, who quickly filed a protest.

These days, many such queries about Monegan -- or anything else involving Palin's record as governor -- get diverted to McCain staffers. A former Justice Department prosecutor from New York flew in recently to advise the governor's lawyer and field reporters' calls about Monegan. Soon after, Palin's willingness to cooperate in the Legislature's probe of the affair ended.

In stubbornly independent Alaska, the sudden intrusion of a political campaign into so many corners of state government -- not to mention Wasilla, where a dozen or more campaign researchers and lawyers have also begun overseeing the release of any information about Palin's years as mayor -- has touched a raw nerve. McCain staffers have even been assigned to answer calls for Palin's family members, who have been instructed not to talk.

"Why did the McCain campaign take over the governor's office?" the Anchorage Daily News demanded in an editorial Saturday. "Is it too much to ask that Alaska's governor speak for herself, directly to Alaskans, about her actions as Alaska's governor?"

One hit piece a day. Well the MSM has nothing better to talk about than how Alaskans have discovered they now hate Sarah! They'd never write such an article about Illinoisans discovering a new found loathing of Obama!

Oh...poor, poor liberal dirt diggers.

I guess the fact that many more folks from Illinois have to look just as hard (if not harder) for their Senatorial representative is ok though.

Their hypocracy is literally dripping off of them.

Alaska is surging with new political power with the promise of what they can do for the entire country in the oil markets.

Of course the commies/lawyers/envirowackos are going to go in and try to undermine the state. Their efforts undermine capitalism in the US in general.

The LA times is just one continual hit piece on Sarah Palin.

Day after day.

Now, I’m a Christian and I am opposed to violence but like St. Paul I do wrestle with fleshly desires (Romans 7) and I have an occasional fleshly desire to meet the girly elitist editors of the LA Times someday in a dark ally.

Dr. Desmond Ford says I am already forgiven for that sin, so that’s the good news! :)

“Why, he wanted to know, did he have to call a campaign office 4,300 miles away to find out what was going on in Alaska government?”

Because that the “troopergate” investigation about that far away from being a real scandal worth their (socialist obama supporting MSM) blubbering hypocracy.

MSM's Mau Mauing Moose get mad.

Alaskans on the other hand love the horde of Rat lawyers, Rat PIs, Rat agents of all sorts, Rat lone wolves, just plain Rat nut balls, and at the bottom, Rat "reporters."

All of them demanding special treatment because they are from the first world and have little use for stubborn third world living conditions. Their nerves are raw and need to get back to civilization.

Photo of Kim Murphy, and this comes from the LA Slimes. One can only imagine the thousands of really ugly photos, they didn't show us:

Sarah Palin is going to shake the Democratic leftist-liberal house to its foundation, and then bring it down...in fact, she's already doing so.

She, her family, their faith, their values, and their story represent the absolute refutation of all the tired old liberal mantras and victimology that they malignantly use to mentally, psychologically, and financially enslave whole classes of people.

From women's rights, to family values, to gun rights, to abortion, to energy policy, to taxation, to envrionmentalism, to fundamental governing principal, to U.S. soveriegnty and independence, and on and on...she is a wrecking ball to the leftist, libneral, socialist house.

Thanks to Jeff Head for compiling this great pictorial collection of Sarah.

Everybody up here still supports Palin. They figured out a while back she was good on her word. Then she really got the people's support which empowered her to do even greater things to correct problems in our state govt.

Wait until she gets to D.C. and starts shaking it up; then all of America will support her. Palin is really more of a populist than a repub; a good thing for the Republican Party. And remember that old bag Lyda Green is retiring this year up in Ak. She is also known as one of the biggest Repub legislator liars in Ak. She never liked Palin from the start, wonder why?

The rats are sure trying everything possible to keep WGN radio in Chicago from interviewing an insider with negative Obama names, facts, and times/dates.

The rats want a monopoly on hit pieces attacking conservatives, but can’t take the heat when the real truth is directed back at them. I say it’s muzzle loading season on the Democrat asses.

What I don’t get is why these locals are so stupid. They are obviously getting on Sarah Palin’s “enemies list”, and if they are successful they will have her back in Alaska on their backs fulltime. If they are unsuccessful, they will have the national administration out to fix thweir wagons. They better have squeaky clean backgrounds and tax returns.
