Why are things STILL so rotten in Illinois, even after the illustrious career of Barack Hussein Obama in the Illinois state Senate? Just WHAT of any import HAS Obama done? He is presented as the best thing since sliced bread, as THE ONE. Why?! - He has spent his whole U.S. Senate “career” (less than 2 yrs.) running for President.

He is looking more sedate and Presidential in his suit and tie lately, still saying nothing, but saying it better than anyone has ever said it before.

I guess an 80% approval rating doesn’t mean much to some libtards.

Palin is really more of a populist than a repub

Now that is the absolute truth! It not only explains why her support is 80% in Alaska but why Democrats and independents nationally are declaring their support for her.

It took a populist to attack the corruption in Alaska and it will take the same to the tenth power to have any hope to chip away at the corruption in Washington.

Sarah Palin is not just a threat to Democrats. She is a threat to Republicans and bureaucrats who have such comfortable holes at the government pig trough. She scares the hell out of a lot of Republicans because they know she ain't loyal to the party when it comes to corruption of ANY politician.

Sarah Palin is the reason I decided to vote for McCain which I thought I would never do.

All of us lost in the wilderness were looking for someone to lead us back. Sarah is that person NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS ELECTION.

I don't think she is the reincarnation of Ronald Reagan.

I think she will eclipse him.

Why, he wanted to know, did he have to call a campaign office 4,300 miles away to find out what was going on in Alaska government?

Considering the fact that it's a political witch hunt, having it handled through the McCain Palin campaign headquarters is perfect!

"Also, Sean Hannity calls this whole (non)story Tasergate and I agree, the emphasis should be on the crime this clown committed, not that he is a trooper."

There are actually TWO stories here. The TROOPER, Wooten, is Gov. Palin's ex-brother in law, and the individual who tasered his stepson and threatened the life of Gov. Palin's father ("I'll put a bullet in him."). He is still a Trooper.

WALT MONEGAN was the head of the Troopers, and HE was asked to step down because he interfered in the Wooten case, refusing to investigate Wooten's history of abuse. Monegan was NOT fired, merely asked to transfer away from the Troopers. He ALSO has a history of domestic abuse. There were some other "good ol' boy" in-your-face Monegan did to defy the Governor and ignore her orders. He is still whining and complaining to the Democrat media.

The problem is that we’ll win and then it’s back to business as usual.

Do you truly think that when McCain is President and Sarah Palin is Vice-President, and they bring along lots of conservative Republicans to Congress, that it will be 'business as usual'?

I know how Mr. McCutcheon feels. I wander into Gov. Patterson’s office here in New York whenever I want to ask him a question.

The usual Los Angeles Times preposterous propaganda. Of all 50 states, Alaska has the most popular Governor, with an 80% approval rating, including a 75% approval rating from democrats.

Say, wasn’t the LA Times supposed to close down?

Why, I want to know, did he call to find out about the firing now, all these months later, if it's not related to Palin's Vice Presidential canidate status? If it is because of her status, then he was properly being referred to her campaign.

"Why did the McCain campaign take over the governor's office?" the Anchorage Daily News demanded in an editorial Saturday. "Is it too much to ask that Alaska's governor speak for herself, directly to Alaskans, about her actions as Alaska's governor?"

Stop whining. She's in the Major League now and the game is played differently there.

Get over it.

Conclusion: the piece is essentially a Freshman English writing exercise. The prof can give his lefty pupil a nice grade, and the people who matter, who knew nothing about this writer ten minutes ago, can go back to never hearing from her again.
