ANCHORAGE At a folding table in the corner of Title Wave Books Saturday, Kaylene Johnson took a seat behind a stack of her Sarah Palin biographies and waited.
"Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned Alaska's Political Establishment Upside Down" is Johnson's third book. The others are Alaskana -- a coffee table book about the Alaska Railroad and a history of the Kenai Peninsula. They sold fewer than 10,000 copies and expectations for "Sarah" were equally modest. The initial printing was 8,000.
But that was in April.
A week after Palin's big announcement in August, 80,000 new copies of "Sarah" hit stores.
By Saturday, 350,000 more were on the way from Tyndale, a Christian publishing house.

Also, check out this: Then came Joan Nockels, who slid a book about Barack Obama in front of Johnson and asked her to sign it.
Why?
Because he's going to win, she said.
Nockels had just come from a meeting with anti-Palin protesters at the neighboring bagel shop, she said. She wasn't in the market for a "Sarah."
"America is grabbing the mythology," she said. "We need to stay focused on the issues."
Nockels left. Johnson sighed.
"This is what it's been like," she said.
There is no excuse for this book not to get to No. 1.
One attractive quality that Sarah has is her
genuineness, her authenticity. She’s real. She presents exactly who she is and what she believes.
That’s something a leftist can NEVER do and expect more than 10% support.
They know this and they hate it.
Short Biography right now...but just wait...You ain’t seen nothing yet! Sarahs’ story is just starting. When she’s the VP for 4 years and then POTUS for 8 years, she’ll have plenty of material for several books.
It's an interesting thumb nail sketch of Sarah and her political career. I enjoyed it.
While ‘San Fran Nan’ is roosting comfortably at number 43,387 on the best seller (or is that cellar) list.
If its short, its because she doesn’t have a closet full of skeletons.
What had Barack Obama accomplished before he was paid to write two autobiographies?
What has he accomplished since?

How many of the 1 star reviewers didn’t read the book or even the dust jacket?
At least Sarah Palin has a verifiable biography, unlike Barack Obama, whose whereabouts and accomplishments prior to entering the U.S. Senate are questionable at best.
He’s gotten 14:58 minutes of fame as his campaign branded him with a couple of iconic posters about HOPE and CHANGE by an agitprop “artist” (who cribs much of his work from Soviet, Marxist, and Nazi propaganda posters, the paper trail is there).
Talk about a hit.
Why don’t they print a story on how people read Obama’s book because there is a picture of a nice black man on the cover?
They are constantly pushing the subliminal “sarah is an inexperienced nothing” message and I’m sick of it.
We can see right through you, drive bys.
Yeah, it is a popular book too. But it isn't because it is short, it is because of what's in it.
I wouldn’t even have clicked on the article except that I happened to see Julia O’Malley as the author.
