Barney Frank’s aide said we should slow down with proper oversight:

“An aide to Rep. Barney Frank, the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, said negotiators had agreement on an oversight board and some form of help for homeowners facing foreclosure.”

thanks goodness Frank is chair of the HFSC. With his steady watchful hand, we shall see our way through this.

Jund Fund from the WSJ was just on Anderson Cooper and said he was certain that by the time this investigation was over...some members of Congress will be indicted and jailed!!

That is news coming from him. He probably knows more than he can print at this point. The dems are scared silly right now..that’s why the NYT printed this mess about John McCain!! Diversion tactics!

"(Andrew Cuomo's to be precise)"

How's that gonna work when McCain wants to replace Cox as head of the Securities Exchange Commission with the dreadful Demo, Andrew Cuomo???

I'll tell you how... Even if we win this election, we're gonna lose a whole bunch of things, just like we in CA have lost with Schwartzenfrauder!!! (they're buddies, don't forget)

Arnold has been appointing Dem Judges and Department heads faster than Repubs!!! Good ol John will follow suit, you wait and see... It's sure gonna scrub the sheen offa Governor Palin when John starts reachin across that isle to compromise with the cruddy crooks!!!

Bunch of crap.

Nothing will come of this....it's for ass-covering and the appearance of "doing something to right this outrage".

Let’s see Jamie Gorelick and Beth Wilkinson (Mrs. David Gregory) doing the perp walk in their $800 Jimmy Choo pumps.

They have their fingerprints all over this mess, eh?

My guess is the FBI is too infested with leftover Clintoon Kool-Aid drinkers, to be a real law enforcement agency.

"Yeah... Too bad they didn’t include Indymac on that list."

It is.

"Additionally, the FBI is investigating failed bank IndyMac Bancorp Inc. for possible fraud. Countrywide Financial Corp., formerly the nation's largest mortgage lender and now owned by Bank of America Corp. (BAC), is also under scrutiny."

I'm supporting him for Palin and therefore for the future. Yes, there's a pill to swallow with John McCain. A part of me wants to believe McCain did not say de facto that he'd replace Cox with Cuomo, merely that he admired Cuomo. That said, I cannot see supporting Obama, getting National health care, getting Freedom of (abortion) Choice Act, getting leftist SCOTUS justices as somehow being any better than John McCain.

Still a little wary to get too excited yet....remember..the FBI has lots of Clinton holdovers...(eye roll).

The FBI is full of Clintoon demoRAT political career types, just like the CIA and State.

“Hopefully, this investigation will be thorough, and will make a strong connection between a few of the crooks on the left side of the aisle and Freddie/Fannie.”

Whatever comes of this, I bet money the above will not be part of it. The establishment will not indict itself.

And we have a winner - someone who understands what government investigations are for!

Too many on this thread are hopeful that this investigation means the opposite of what it actually does.

Article from last year:

George Soros and the Future of the World Bank

"This situation should be a cause of concern. Soros is a major funder of the Democratic Party, activist groups that aid the Democrats (such as MoveOn.Org), and was a very early and generous backer of Barack Obama. This support could be crucial in the years ahead. Congress has recently been considering increasing the regulation and the transparency of hedge funds. Indeed, some attention has been focused on the role of hedge funds in American politics. The New York Times, for instance, ran an article earlier in the year ("Hedge Fund Chiefs, With Cash, Join Political Fray") that predictably, focused on hedge fund managers who seemed to support the GOP. Unsurprisingly, the article omitted any mention at all of George Soros, whose politics are more compatible with those powers-that-be who are running the New York Times (into the ground). Yet Soros has very important reasons to want influence in Washington. Not just to support his agenda, but also to ensure that he can continue to operate behind a veil of secrecy and avoid any increased scrutiny of his hedge funds."

Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, the haughty John Kerry who served in Viet Nam, and Obambi should be charged with high crimes, treason, etc....That would be a nice October surprise.

Good-I hope they start by taking back the millions that Franklin Raines put into his corrupt Democratic pockets.

Good - I hope they'll continue by taking back the millions that ??? put into his/her corrupt Democratic or Republican or Independent or Libertarian or Constitution or Socialist or Reform or Vegetarian or Whig pockets.

They need to go after EVERYONE regardless of political affiliation!

Corruption is corruption.
