Two men from Texas who are members of a group that planned to disrupt the Republican National Convention have been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of possessing an unregistered firearm, possessing a firearm without a serial number, and illegal manufacturing a firearm, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Minneapolis said.
David Guy McKay, 22, and Bradley Neal Crowder, 23, both of Austin, allegedly possessed firearms that were not registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record and possessed firearms that did not contain serial numbers as required by law. The alleged actions took place Aug. 31 through Sept. 3, according to the indictment.
Crowder was arrested on Sept. 1 on charges of disorderly conduct. McKay was arrested Sept. 3 after police searched a residence on Dayton Avenue, the Attorney's Office said.

These clowns are going to have a tough time hiding behind the 1st Ammendment on this deal.......
If they were gunning for the demo convention instead, you can bet this would have been prominent in all the “news” media.
Correct. This is a home grown story. Evidently the AP sees no benefit in running with it......
I’m not sure why but Austin is chock full of these types.
They really do want to eliminate guns, dont they?
Sounds like these boys have a bright future as college professors.

Ahhhh.....Texas' liberal mecca.... It's a college town.... Lived there 4 years.... That's all I could stomach. Tons of people from NYC and CA. (the traffic and taxes proves it)
There a few of us conservatives here in Austin. You only see them mostly when we freep something. But you are correct, most people here in Austin are Obama swooners and enviromentalist wackos.
These boys are going to do some HARD Federal time if they're convicted for this.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!
Might be worth a check to see if these guys had something to do with burning the Governor’s mansion.
Thanks for the reminder......
After they were arrested, that connection was being investigated. It was posted somewhere on FR. I’m sure that it is ongoing while the Feds hold them here on these charges....
