WASHINGTON - The chairman of the House Financial Services Committee declared Friday that an agreement on legislation to relieve a spreading financial crisis depends on House Republicans "dropping this revolt" against President Bush.
Rep. Barney Frank said leading Democrats on Capitol Hill were shocked by the level of divisiveness that surfaced at a White House meeting Thursday, not long after key congressional players of both parties declared they'd achieved the broad outlines of an agreement on a bill implementing the administration's proposed $700 billion bailout plan.

He’s right...GOP is to blame for breakdown of deal. But for valid reasons that neither Frank or his MSM love bunnies wish to acknowledge.
Demonize and villify...don’t worry about the content of the issues.
BFT is asking Americans to believe that the House GOP, who are in the minority, stopped the deal. One, since the RATs have the majority of votes there, that is not technically possible. Two, if they did stop the deal, MORE POWER TO THE HOUSE GOP!
If the Democrats feel so strongly about it, they could pass it over the objections of the House Republicans, so they are just as much to blame for the lack of progress on the bailout.
Sad part is, the demwits with the aid of the MSM will succeed in putting all the blame on the Republicans, as they always do, and the uninformed public will buy it. I’m sure most people still think that the Republicans are in control of the House and Senate since the president is a Republican.

What shocked this fatass is that the Dems’ little stunt of a press conference lying about an agreement didn’t result in ankle-grabbing by cowardly Repubs. Gawd, I hope he’s indicted once all this settles. Slovenly blowhard.
The Democrats have sided with Bush to give the taxpayer the bums rush to saddle them with all this debt without any debate? Why should Jorge care, He’ll be gone soon. And then Frankfurter is blaming House Republicans for the mess? Hold the the phone Frankie!....House Republicans smell a dead rat!.....
Fine by me. Laura Ingraham had audio of Frank this morning confirming what was reported last night: Future money recovered from the Dem plan would go to groups like ACORN. If he wants to blame Republicans for blocking such outrageous proposals, Barney will find himself back in the Senate Minority real soon.
