The Washington Post's Howard Kurtz reported yesterday that he asked the McCain campaign if Sarah Palin is the biological mother of Trig Palin.
Kurtz published a response from Michael Goldfarb of the McCain campaign:
"These rumors are false. It is her baby. The whole thing is absurd. All of this rests on the fact that she wore her pregnancy extremely well. A couple of months later, there are a ton of pictures showing she is obviously pregnant. It's ridiculous. There's just nothing to it. We're not going to release her gynecological records to prove it. It's just madness."
Kurtz asked the scurrilous question in response to a spat he had with Andrew Sullivan, who has been whining that the McCain campaign wouldn't answer the question when he posed it.
Being that Kurtz has sunk low enough to ask such a question about Sarah Palin based only on rumormongering leftists at the Daily Kos and The Atlantic, fairness dictates that Kurtz pose the a similar question to the Obama campaign: Is Barack Obama the biological father of the two girls mothered by his wife Michelle.
Don't get me wrong here. I'm not suggesting that Obama is not their father and I'm not suggesting that known adulterer and family friend of Michelle Obama, Jesse Jackson, Sr., had anything to do with this.
All I'm asking is for Howard Kurtz and The Washington Post to treat both campaigns equally. After all, here's how Kurtz explained his decision to pose the question to the McCain campaign:
I do think Sullivan, like any journalist, is entitled to ask any question he wants. The campaign can choose whether to comment or not. So I asked Goldfarb yesterday for an unambiguous, on-the-record statement about Palin and the baby.
WHAT liberal bias?
1. Barry have you ever had sex with an animal?
2. Michelle, have you ever committed adultery?
Kurtz tries to present himself as a fair player in the media. He’s another liberal hack hiding behind a press pass.
I think that is a more relevant question for Andrew Sullivan. Or perhaps "is there anything you have NOT had sex with?"

Barry, would you submit to drug testing so that the American people can see at what level your crack adiction has evolved?
Barry, as you are now spending so much time on the road and away from your wife, are you cheating on her or are you masturbating?
And who in the national lamestream media asks for any of Obama’s records on anything?
A more pertinent question, though dated, is who is the father of Chelsea Clinton. I think most Freepers suspect we know the answer, but does Howard Kurtz or is he willing to publicize it?
I’ve heard that Howard Kurtz was actually fathered by Richard Milhouse Nixon back when he was a US Senator. He apparantly had relations with Howie’s mother in a dumb waiter at a large $50 a plate dinner in the old Madison Square Garden.
