I’ve never posted a topic before. However with the times what they are, I thought something like this was appropriate for the occasion. I hope the thread works some cathartic magic for those who need to vent.

Well, well well, the Dow is down 337 points AFTER the Dems had their (2nd) self-congratulatory presser claiming “credit” for the bailout bill.

It’s all teed-up for McCain!

I hate to tell you this, but the day the federal government took over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac it effectively nationalized the mortgage industry. I am still amazed that that happened with so little fanfare or outrage. This latest bailout is just formalizing it by nationalizing the rest of the bad mortgages not held by Fannie and Freddie.

The United States has been on a 30-year credit binge, both as a nation and as individuals. It was never going to end well, but it was going to end. De-leveraging is a bitch but it has to happen.

The Dems are smarter than that. I think the Dems are much more clever than Republicans when it comes to political manuvers. The Dems were sure to make this look bi-partisan. Even Dingy Harry was spouting off about both candidates supporting the bill.

This date is significant, and socialism is now on the menu in America. But, November 4 will be the day. Once Barack Hussein Obama is elected, our failure will be assured.

There is a lot of red in that table you posted. In wonder if the markets are negative because the US hasn't passed the bailout or is a reaction to the expectation that the bailout will be passed? With everything else that is going on in the world economies, it is hard to tell.

Don't worry about other idiots. Concentrate on making your life happy, which can be done. For others, many of them are getting what they deserve.
