Halbrook contends that the history of Germany might have been changed if more of its citizens had been armed, and if the right to bear arms had been enshrined it Germany's culture and constitution. Halbrook points out that while resistance took place in many parts of occupied Europe, there was almost no resistance in Germany itself, because the Nazis had enjoyed years in which they could enforce the gun laws to ensure that no potential opponent of the regime had the means to resist.
Phil, maybe I am being oversensitive today, but your image is really over the top. Makes our reasoned attacks (and parodies) of Obama lose credibility. I don’t think being the site that posts images of Obama as Hitler really does free Republic much good.
I’m sure we agree on all the important issues, but this is an issue of perception, and your image comes off badly to me.

Godwin’s Law does come to mind, but remember that Godwin’s Law ceases to apply when someone really behaves like a Nazi, Fascist, Stalinist, or other totalitarian. The Clinton campaign alleges that the Obama campaign intimidated voters in Nevada, and Governor Blunt alleges that Obama is using law enforcement resources to intimidate his critics. These are definitely Brownshirt tactics .
On the other hand, the Left will doubtlessly bleat “Godwin’s Law,” so maybe we should just portray Obama as Boss Tweed (well known for election fraud and strongarm tactics) instead. I think I can get a public domain picture of Boss Tweed onto which to photomanipulate Barry’s face.

Dang staffers. Hey, can you give me some insight as to how this guy can't even supervise or control his staff is going to run a country? Seriesly, who would he blame all this on if he was el-presidente? Staffers? Interns? Cabinet members? Iran launches a nuke and he says his staffers filled out the form. Oh really?
Everybody who is nobody speaks for this guy. Then he blames it on somebody else because he doesn't event know what's going on.
I swear I think they picked a guy with a low IQ, severe ADD or some other malady. You can control anybody who doesn't have the mental ability to even keep up.
I found this elsewhere on the web ;^)

Moynihan Asks Big Tax Increase On Ammunition
By ADAM CLYMER,
Published: November 4, 1993
Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan said today that he would insist that President Clinton’s health-care plan include a huge increase in Federal taxes on handgun ammunition that would make some especially destructive bullets unaffordable.
The New York Democrat has often contended that the best way to attack gun violence would be to restrict the sale of ammunition, not guns. Today, for instance, he noted that the nation has a 200-year supply of guns but only a 4-year supply of ammunition.
“Guns don’t kill people; bullets do,” he told the Senate as he introduced his legislation today. “It is time the Federal Government began taxing handgun ammunition used in crime out of existence.”
