It also says he is against capital punishment, which in only partially true. He supports capital punishment of the most innocent of innocents for the crime of being conceived at an inconvenient time.

Anchor: I have a piece of paper signed by Senator Obama which calls for a total ban of handguns, sir.
Spokesman: Well, that was signed by an intern. Everyone knows about that. Senator Obama never saw that -- I can't believe that you are spreading these Republican lies.
Anchor: Sir, I have another piece of paper, this one contains handwritten notations from Senator Obama, so we know he saw this, and he signed it, and it calls for a ban on handgun.
Spokesman: This is outrageous! It's just not true! Look, McCain's foreign policy is totally off-base, and, and ... bin laden is still out there!
Here is an article from the San Francisco Chronical in Feb. 2008 that expands a little bit on Obamas changing position on not only the handgun ban, but on another change....the death penalty. It also says that according to the Chicago Tribune, he still endorsed the gun ban as late as 2004 while running for the Senate. Can we find that article?

I read the letter his people sent to radio stations threatening legal action if they ran NRA ads.
The logic goes like this: Obama’s CURRENT platform does not include handgun bans, so it’s a LIE to insist that he supports them.
With material like this (and all the other stuff), any other campaign besides McCain would have blasted Obama off the map. He’s got RINOs running his campaign.
And RINOs are never ruthless or determined to win at all costs.

McCain needs to run against Obama 1995-May 2008, not Obama October 2008. His views for all those years are QUITE a bit different than what is spewing from his mouth today.

Democrats have been lying about this for months. As another poster noted, McCains campaign will be too stupid or infiltrated by RINO’s to actually use this information.
Just a matter of time before we have to choose how many we’re going to take with us.
So if he becomes President and signs a bill to turn over control of the United States to Iran, he will excuse this act of treason by saying he didn’t read what he was signing.
U.S. Senator, let alone POTUS, is obviously well above his pay grade.
