In keeping with the optimistic theme, here is a freepmail I sent to someone who was getting depressed by the drumbeat of the “media” and wanted to know why I was predicting a landslide for McCain.
All the trends are pointing toward it, even ZOGBY admitted it.
Northern Liberal - Has NEVER WON, you’ve got 2 of em’ on the ticket, the last 2 Dem presidents were SOUTHERN GOVERNORS who pretended to not be liberals.
GOP will win the male vote, as they ALWAYS do, by a good margin.
GOP might actually WIN the female vote this election, they usually get beaten pretty badly in the female vote, Sarah Palin has changed that dynamic drastically, that’s why they’re trying to destroy her, and I mean destroy, not damage, not ding, destroy. If the female vote is even close, it’s a GUARANTEED landslide.
Obama is losing his base, many Reagan dems and plain old dems won’t vote for him for a variety of reasons. He is getting nowhere near the base support of Gore and Kerry, who both LOST I might add.
Palin has energized the GOP base, which hasn’t been energized in a long time. McCain is consistently getting over 90% of his base, Hotline had it at 95%, most show around 92-95% of his base. Most polls show Obama losing a MINIMUM of 17-19% of his base.
Many polls are being WILDLY cooked to show Obama ahead, it’s not going to be close. They tried to pull this bailout nonsense and BLAME the GOP and depress the base. Did you see how depressed Pelosi looked yesterday?
They are pulling out wild and desperate tactics, they are overplaying their hand. Barack Hussein Obama....please.
In 1985 was the warning. The kids in 85 still had the patriotism of 1776. It shall be amplified now.
This is an accurate portrayal. I think 9-11 has slowed things down a bit but they are adjusting. Go visit a public grade school and listen to the curriculum, programs, etc.
And Limbaugh hit the airwaves in 1988.
Not to mention Ann Coulter (rules, anyone?)
