Actually, I signed up last month when US Weekly did their hit piece on Sarah Palin. I asked people to boycott the magazine and cancel their subscriptions. If you search, you can probably find my post.

The vanity tag is just what FR regulars dub opinion pieces, whereas most of the forum is dedicated to discussing news articles. I don’t see it as a big deal so long as it’s put in the proper sub forum(chat). Besides it often yields ample opportunity for humor-sometimes quite unexpectedly!
But to your original point, I’d say we have plenty to fear right now when you look at the battleground state trends.
A vanity is when one posts their opinion as a thread instead of a comment.
There’s only a few folks around here who are talented enough to pull this off with provocative intellect. I am one of those but my modesty prevails as I don’t like stealing others’ thunder or making someone feel worthless and insignificant while pondering the meaning of the universe in my words.
