Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama closed his 30-minute speech at the University of Nevada, Reno today by telling several thousand people that sacrifice will be required of all Americans to weather the nation's economic crisis.
Obama said that at the end of the day, there is no separation between Wall Street and Main Street; there's the road "we're all traveling on as Americans."
But he closed on an optimistic note, saying, "We have all been through tougher times before."

If this clown gets elected, he will pull a Clinton by saying “I tried and tried, I’ve never worked on anything harder in my life, but I can’t fine a way to do it... so we’ll all have to sacrifice.. and sacrifice a lot!”

Sorry, should have said preservation of historic lighthouses, which was some pork piece of garbage proposed this week to funnel millions of dollars to Michigan.

I want to know where his money comes from. It isn't the books. I don't believe that. Some unknown guy writes a couple of books and makes millions???
(Excuse me while I start to write my autobiography(s). This must be a money making venture. My life is pretty interesting..I guess..to me......send money)

Fellow travelers?
Oh, puh-leeze!

Obama’s remarks being nearly identical to Carter’s needs to be made into a McCain ad and it needs to be televised nationally.

There are strong and persuasive arguments that he MAY have penned the outline and a rough, really crappy, first draft. It looks like the books were actually written or at least really polished by none other than Bill Ayers. All part of his grooming O to become POTUS since their days as fellow travelers at Columbia.

I think these people write books (actually, its a ghost writer) then organized Lefty groups, etc. buy millions of copies and then dump them at sea. The author becomes an instant millionaire and the organizations are able to funnel the cash directly to the author. Nobody is the wiser.
Unfortunately for Nancy Botoxi, nobody bought the books!

Correct me if Im wrong, but isnt sacrifice supposed to be voluntary? When its mandated by the government, theres other names for it. like robbing the poor to subsidize the rich?

...sacrifice will be required of all Americans to weather the nation's economic crisis. Welfare recipients will be required to get up at 11:00 a.m. instead of noon. That will give them an extra hour to get ready for the Oprah Winfrey Show. Look for her ratings to spike.

I have read that also re: Ayers.
We’ll never find it to be true because the media won’t allow it.

that sacrifice will be required of all Americans to weather the nation's economic crisis. Translation, we are going to tax the snot of you. OBTW, no sacrifices will be required of the bankers, brokers, etc, nor of those who pay no taxes, and instead consume them.
Oh and we're coming after your guns too.
