Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A new web site by the Matthew 25 Network, a Democratic political action committee supporting Barack Obama, falsely calls Barack Obama pro-life. The "Pro-Life, Pro-Obama" web site features a list of what Obama would do as president and almost completely ignores abortion.
"An Obama administration will do more than a McCain administration for the cause of life, by drastically reducing abortions through giving women and families the support and the tools they need to choose life," the web site claims.
The web site features a host of votes Obama cast and initiatives the pro-abortion candidate supports to help pregnant women.
They range from paid maternity leave and sick leave to affordable daycare to supporting expanded health care.
However, discussion of key legislation that directly affects abortion, and has resulted in their reducation, is conspicuously absent.
There is no mention of Obama's position favor of keeping Roe v. Wade legal, which has resulted in 50 million abortions over the last 35 years.
There is no mention of his votes against bills in the Illinois legislature to provide medical care for infants who survive botched abortions.
The site fails to mention his support of the so-called Freedom of Choice Act, a bill that would make unlimited abortions throughout pregnancy the national law and overturn every pro-life law in all 50 states, including bans on tax-funded abortions and partial-birth abortions.
The Matthew 25 Network web site claims "Obama opposes late term abortions" but fails to explain that he opposed the ban on partial-birth abortions and that his wife Michelle used that opposition to a partial-birth abortion ban in a fundraising letter.
And, while the site commends Obama for votes to help pregnant women and his support for the SCHIP program to provide health coverage for poor children, it fails to disclose how Obama voted against an amendment to expand the program to include pregnant women and their unborn children.
While the site attacks Senator John McCain on several health care related votes it fails to note McCain supported the SCHIP measure Obama opposed.

This website is either lying or is totally ignorant (probably the former). Obama, pro-life? HA!!! I think not...

Okay, here I am running my mouth again. I am normally a mild-mannered (okay, I’m really a bitter American clinging to my guns and religion...) but anyway, if you didn’t know that side of me you would think me mild mannered and easy going. Anyway, I just called this piece of crap organization (202-783-2130) and told them that they are complete liars by claiming Obama is pro-life and obviously proving themselves not to be Christians because of their lies and their pro-death stance. Oh yeah, and then I told them they make me want to vomit. Even gave them my phone number in case they want to call me back for more. I have had it, made as he** and I won’t take it anymore. I think I may be losing my self-control. Everyday I am either calling someone, sending a nasty email or sending letters to newspapers. I think I have Obama Derangement Syndrome. HELP!
Yep. But we are supposed to be good citizens, believe this b.s. without blinking an eye, and vote Obama, just because The Obama and his ilk want us to be good little kids, like, uh ... ya know?
