Joe Biden, the man (we use that term loosely) who wishes to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency, defamed truck driver Curtis Dunn with a false accusation of killing Biden's wife and daughter while driving drunk.
...We are of course sorry that the fatal accident took place no matter who was at fault. However, the fact that Biden made this false accusation against a man who is no longer alive to defend his reputation in court--noting that a false accusation of a felony like killing someone while driving drunk is automatically slander or libel--while bringing untold grief and pain to the man's family makes Biden a coward as well. Any questions?

But Biden’s credibility isn’t nearly as important as whether Palin is or is not Trig’s mother.
The message of “unity” is much more important than publicizing Biden’s racist cutesy comment about Indians and 7-Elevens and Dunkin Donuts.
Joe Biden....Obama’s Court Jester....LOL

Gaffe a minute machine is working.
Widely discussed here, not mentioned in the MSM. Everytime I see a thread like this I click on it and hope that the source is the MSM. You’d think I would learn to quit wasting my time.
I wonder if blood alcohol tests were conducted on Mrs. Biden.
Sadly, I cannot say anything good about Biden, so; I will just go to the bathroom.
Re: “I wonder if blood alcohol tests were conducted on Mrs. Biden.”
As stated, the investigation concluded that alcohol was not involved. Biden may have failed to yield the right of way (after stopping at a stop sign) because she did not see the truck.
I saw that...it just wasn't clear, in the context of the article if that was limited to the part of the trucker.
I lived in Delaware at the time the accident happened, and made many trips through that particular intersection. I myself pulled out often from the same direction only to see a car or truck bearing down on me.
The general feeling at the time was that the poor wife, probably distracted by holiday energized kids, pulled out or didn’t stop, and didn’t see the truck that killed her.
Typical of Joe to twist the facts for effect. Like his helicopter story in Afganistan.
This statement does not say the man was driving drunk, but you are saying Biden said he was driving drunk.
Maybe the guy did drink his lunch, but had the accident before lunchtime. Maybe the guy was in AA for a few years after he acquired such a reputation. You are fishing too hard to reduce Joe Biden. He has made plenty of gaffes that need no embellishment to use against him.
Biden is the John F. Kerry of MADD.
Please—the facts are very important here.
The original investigator from 1972 is quoted here, and has been quoted in other recent articles published in the Wilmington News Journal newspaper about this accident.
In a recent article, the investigator said if there was any chance the truck driver had alcohol involved, we would have charged him. He did not have any alcohol at all in his system—he did not have a drink that day.
Mrs. Biden pulled out, not seeing the truck. The intersection is at the bottom of a hill, and the truck driver said there was no way he could stop in time.
He was not speeding, he was not driving recklessly—he was a good driver.
Sen. Biden has repeated this lie more than once since 2007.
The daughter of the truck driver has exposed his lie, and he wrote to her with a non apology apology, standard for Democrats.
The fact is, alcohol was not involved. Period.
So are statements. Show me in the statement where Biden says the guy was driving drunk. He says something about the guys drinking habits which maybe true or false, but we don't know and they are not disclaimed.
“Neither Biden’s book nor his campaign Web site directly addresses the alcohol issue, but the senator has done so publicly on at least two occasions.
The New York Times reported the 2007 crowd at the University of Iowa grew silent as Biden gave his version of what happened that day.
“Let me tell you a little story,” The newspaper quoted Biden as saying. “I got elected when I was 29, and I got elected November the 7th. And on Dec. 18 of that year, my wife and three kids were Christmas shopping for a Christmas tree. A tractor-trailer, a guy who allegedly — and I never pursued it — drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch, broadsided my family and killed my wife instantly, and killed my daughter instantly, and hospitalized my two sons, with what were thought to be at the time permanent, fundamental injuries.”
Biden told a similar story when addressing an audience at the Bob Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware a few days after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
“It was an errant driver who stopped to drink instead of drive and hit a tractor-trailer, hit my children and my wife and killed them,” Biden said, according to a transcript archived on his Senate Web site.”

The 2001 incident shows Biden stating for a fact that the truck driver stopped to drink instead of drive, and thus impaired, proceeded to hit his chikdren and kill his wife and daughter.
His statements since 2001 about alcohol and this truck driver were shown to be false, in 1972 and in 2008 by the SAME accident investigator who was assigned to this accident.
It’s not a matter of whether it is true or false as you state-because it is demonstrably false. Alcohol was not, and never was, a factor in the crash.
Joe’s lifelong habit of prevarication makes him lie when there is no need to, and he cares not if someone is hurt.
Automatically slander (false accusation of a crime) if the truck driver had still been alive to sue.
The truck driver died in 1999.
Evidently Joe learned something from law school, aside from how to plagiarize.
The braindead in Northern Delaware, where most of the population of the state lives, vote for Biden out of reflex. A lot of it was due, ironically, to this accident and the massive sympathy it generated.
Here in Southern Delaware, we don’t vote much for Biden—we have his number. He only comes here every two years for Return Day in Georgetown. No fan club here.
Wheh Palin is criticised by Dems for not staying home and taking care of her children including a Down Syndrome child, it is ironic that after the accident Biden said he needed to stay home and take care of his boys, who were hospitalized. He was the Senateor-elect at the time of the accident just before Christmas, 1972.
He changed his mind, and was sworn in as Senator, in the hospital. So much for not being able to do two things at once.
