He was set up and you know it. McCain was between the proverbial rock and a hard place designed to bring him down. Apparently it’s working if everything I’m reading on FR lately is any indication.

Did you notice what we’re going to get with a president obama? More goodies. Oh yes, in his stump speech to the Senate today, obama said that this bailout is not the end of this thing, but the beginning. Then he rattled on and on about all the folks who needed bailing out yet.

All this from one of the main players in this fiasco!

Folks we may not like everything in this, but we have got to pass something.

Vote no until the bill has ZERO pork and only takes necessary measures to protect the economy.

The current deal is a BOONDOGGLE, there is no “CRISIS” that only a 700 Billion (soon to be over a trillion) bill will fix.

No, I am actually watching the economic indicators. I never watch TV anymore.

Go ahead folks, keep your heads stuck in the sand.

You can talk of staying true to conservative principals all you want. But we ARE in a serious economic situation. Just because the stock market didn’t drop another 700 points the last 2 days, does not mean everything is OK.

The last 2 weeks, people have stopped buying things. The September 2008 Auto Sales were the worst they have been since 1993. Until Mid-Sept, Auto Sales were actually recovering somewhat. Last 2 weeks, a total crash in Auto Sales. Less than 1 million units this past month. Last September 2007, it was almost 1.4 million units. That is a MAJOR economic impact. And it is not just the Detroit 3 “screwing up”. Every Automaker went DOWN.

I don’t like this, but we have got to do something.

"She didn’t bring anything to the table on this debate."

She didn't have a say in this debate and was not expected to bring anything to it. As VP candidate she has to follow the POTUS candidate.

At this point I'd rather take an unproven commodity then one that lies to me time after time after time.AWB

This means that each of us taxing paying taxpayers just got stiffed with a bill for $7008.39.

This is just the first installment. The real bill will be $100K+ per person unless the government lets the thing crash first.

McCain’s campaign is over. He spent half the debate railing about earmarks and promises to veto any bill with earmarks in it, then votes for this piece of garbage packed with earmarks. Fraud!

I don’t like this, but we have got to do something.

As I said before, if Congress doesn't address the root causes of our economic issues, throwing $700 billion at it will likely be a wasted effort.

We’re going to get socialism anyways. No matter which way you slice it, it’s coming and there’s nothing we can do about it.

So are you going to sell out to Obama in order to spite McCain, despite having Palin on the ticket?

You know what, everyone, you’re bandwagon jumpers. You’re miniscule, pitiful, and utterly contemptable. You all moan and groan about how unfair things are. I have news for you all, LIFE is unfair.

All of you are willing to sell out America, all because you can’t find someone perfect.

You all make me sick, that you’re willing to throw your votes to Obama.

I don’t like that McCain voted for it. But I’m going to continue supporting him because I know exactly what I’m getting with him. At least I won’t be goose-step marched down Main Street by Obama the Reichfuhrer like the rest of you want to be.

It’s a compromise. The pubs to their credit put the dems over a barrel and forced them to do some sweet tax cuts before letting this sham pass. Yeah I said it. Sham. Government is taking bad investments off the books of lenders. And suspending mark to market which also is a smoke and mirrors move. But I like it. You gotta try. It’s all fiat money nowadays anyway.

McCain was between the proverbial rock and a hard place designed to bring him down.

How could McCain have lost by announcing that he was voting now because of various junk thrown in by (list of names)? Isn't that precisely what he promised to do?

Before this...the election was an easy win for McCain. Now, I don’t know.

Sort of sad that this had to happen right now. Not because I think highly of McCain, but because I think so low of Obama and...frankly I think the FEAR surrounding this is odd.

People don’t understand the issue and it’s not going the way it could/should go. It seems that things like this make people act rash.
