Debate advice for questions dealing with the bailout:
1. Right or wrong, Gov. Palin should acknowledge that Congress has taken the action it thinks is right to help preserve the financial system.
2. But she should say that Congress is not very good at owning up to its own responsibilities in creating this crisis. In particular, Congress has been responsible for encouraging bad loans and in failing to reform Fannie and Freddie (plug for McCain's reform).
3. Then she should use a line like one of the following to make the point:
We shouldn't give the arsonist who started the fire too much credit when he helps put it out.
It's nice that the bank robber who shot someone and stole his money gave the victim a bandage and his empty wallet back, but there's more to the story.
(See Walter Williams: http://www.inrich.com/cva/ric/news.apx.-content-articles-RTD-2008-09-26-0178.html and Claudia Rosett: http://pajamasmedia.com/claudiarosett/445 )
McCain needs to say this at the opening of his next debate with Obama.
My friends, as you well know I have some problems using a computer due to severa war injuries I sustained as a POW in Vietnam. If you really want to know more about my opponent I simply ask you to google the following on my behalf before election day:
Jeremiah Wright Barack Obama
Tony Resco Barack Obama
William Ayers Barack Obama
Jim Johnson Barack Obama
Franklin Raines Barack Obama
Thank you.

No Drilling, no oil, no clean coal...We are struggling now with energy cost and energy availabily; Obama plan will make its worse.”
Sarah has sorely disappointed. If she can’t properly address Couric’s questions, how can we expect her to even adequately debate motor mouth Biden? Unless this was all a rope a dope by her and she has miraculously has mastered many topics, she is going to going to prove many right that she just is too green.
Thank god college football is on to take the pain away of this horrible Republican ticket.
Sorry about your pointed sores. Sarah’s interview with Comrade Couric was taped, edited, dubed and scrubbed. God will really accept your praise with a capital G.
Sarah needs to throw out all the McCain talking points and just remember who she is. She is not a McCain clone. She needs to stop trying to be one. She needs to express her disagreement with McCain on all issues that she disagrees with him. IOW, she needs to try something new in politics. She needs to be honest.
Agree, Sarah be yourself. That’s who I am voting for. Not some polished up loser.
Relax, speak from the heart. Don’t get sarcastic because it sounds valley girl on you.
Be prepared to answer clearly the following...
-critics have questioned your claim to international experience because of Alaska’s proximity to Russia. Other than that they can flyover Alaska, what specific internation relations have you taken part in?
-the bridge to no where controversy
-what do you read
-you and your running mate have differences; define your differences
-do you support the bailout and why
-what is your role getting the country back on economic track
-you said alaska provides X% of the nation’s energy...reports state it is a fraction of that...explain
-both of you have recently come under fire for gaffes - how can you assure the american public you are ready to lead
-how do you address critics who say your experience isn’t sufficient
Sarah,
Answer each question by telling them how a conservative American thinks about each issue, whether foreign policy, the economy, healthcare, Russian aggression, Oil, terrorism, etc.
And please mention the choice is between 2 lawyers on the Dem ticket, and a Navy aviator and a citizen-politician on the Rep ticket. When was the last time there was No lawyer nominated for Pres or VP on either ticket? (Reagan?)

Subj: FYI Questions I’ll ask tonight (Pass to Sen. Joe Biden)
Hi Brother Barak,
Just a heads up for Joe on the questions I’m going to trip her up with tonight (so he can prepare in advance). Of course, I’ll confirm at the start that neither candidate has
seen this in advance.
Firstly, testing on foreign policy I’m going to throw the question about the current head of state of Moldova (there’s not a chance in hell that she’ll know it cause few do...so get Joe to bone up).
The second question will go to him and it will be on the exact to the penny expenditure on Iraq back in 2004...”It was $456B—then I’ll ask if she agrees. Attached is the list of all my questions with the correct answers. We run this by all of our polling experts and it should come out really good for us.
Anyway, Too-da-loo, have a good one my brother. And keep hope alive!
Love ya—Gwinn.
P.S.—Tell Michelle, to stop wearing those big pearls. Makes her look rich.
Aren’t they going to recieve questions that both of them will have to discuss?
Shouldn’t the moderator be impartial?

Your so vain. You probably think this website is about you. ;)
Question:”Are you ready to lead?”
Answer: I may not have all the answers to all the issues. I didn’t have them when I was elected a mayor or a governor. But, I learnd fast and I have an 80% approval rating to show for it. I recall questions about Clinton, Reagan and Bush. Because they were governors, they were not ready to lead. Harry Truman was not expected to lead, Abraham Lincoln was considered illiterate and backwards when he first took office. Sometimes the person makes the office, sometimes the office makes the person. I’m ready for the challenge of being vice-president and any circumstances that might arise beyond that.
Biden: Well I knew Ronald Reagan. And I know George Bush and Bill Clinton. Governor, you’re not anyone of them.
Palin: Well, there you gp plagiarizing again, Joe.
Go McCain/Palin! Go Bucks!
Arent they going to recieve questions that both of them will have to discuss?
I hope not. What is the use in that? They might as well just fill in the answers and put it on the internet. I want them to be able to answer critical questions that may actually end up happening in their respective vice presidencies.
Ifill being a moderator is a farce but I can’t see her asking questions that have nothing to do with Biden.
I’m more concerned she will ask questions about obscure issues in the African American community. Biden will BS through them and Sarah will get that scared look.
I actually would look forward to Gweny asking about the Bridge to Nowhere considering Biden and her boy Bozo voted for it twice.
Hey, don’t worry about Gov. Palin’s performance tonight! If she’s wearing her hair down, she will probably have an electronic earpiece, so she’ll do just fine. Whew!
Don’t worry. We’ve got it covered. She’s going to be wearing an earpiece!
