"Bosniac? When Biden’s speaking, I’m thinking “maniac”"

"Bosniak" is what Bosnian Muslims called themselves --as in "crazy, suicidal Muslims" -- but, pre-9/11, we thought it was "cute" at the time.

Hey, just sayin’ I think I’ve heard the term used. Better to focus on the significant number of outright lies made by Plugs tonight.

When all your Republican heroes warn you about the blue eyed blonde haired European Muslims that Al Qaeda is trying to recruit, they are SPECIFICALLY talking about the Bosniak population.

When you voted for GWB in 2000, and GWB declared himself opposed to nation building as the Clinton White House had pursued the policy, he was referring to the series of policy decisions that started in the Bosniak enclaves of Bosnia.

It was the Dayton Accord in 1995 that ended the civil war the Bosniaks were losing that was one of the first poison fruits the Republican class of 1994 bit into that would eventually corrupt their cohort and agenda.

I was only in middle school during the early Balkan civil wars, it was the advent of the 24 hour news cycle and satellite reporting and CNN had tons of video footage of the bombings of Bosniak towns and I’ve remembered the plight of Bosniaks ever since, and a few years later also learned how full of BS the CNN reporters were while pushing the interventionist agenda.

You’d think with his cash and him being a lawyer he could get a refund or a redo. A combover looks a lot worse than a bald head.

I believe Sarah Palin actually is Catholic. She was baptized Catholic, and therefore, technically, formally speaking, unless she has officially requested from her bishop to be released from the faith, from the strict Catholic viewpoint, she IS Catholic, just not practicing (or “fallen away”). I realize she follows the religion of the Assemblies of God and has for many years, and would not identify herself as a Catholic. But with this issue in recent elections of “just how Catholic” a candidate is, it’s interesting that Sarah, in a sense, may be the only REAL Catholic among numerous so-called “Catholics” like Biden who are obviously in a state of apostasy.

Hezbollah, known locally as the Lesbosniaks.

Man this is never getting old!

Just because the people do not understand the word doesn't make it a gaffe, plus if people are dumb enough to not understand what a bosniac is, do you really think they will be smart enough to even think that it isn't a real word? When I read this whole post, it makes me realize why some idiots think that all conservatives are stupid. People should be happy that Palin sounded like a down to earth human being like most of us, and that Biden sounded like a DC politician. Hopefully that, and the issues will work for us.

Bosniak is an accepted English language usage and is actually the original usage. “Bosnian” is much newer. Biden is correct in his usage.

To be fair about tongue slips, I think I heard Gov. Palin call Biden “OBiden” at one point. Of course, I think it was apt as, accordding to Biden, The Senator and Obama were joined at the hip since the Messiah was elected to the Senate.

If this were a college debate, Biden won on points. But I think Palin, by performing as she did under the pressure of the phoney Couric interview, won the hearts and minds.

She just reversed what happened with the McCain/Obnada debate. By surviving she won.

Now it’s up to McCain. She pulled his chestnuts out of the fire. It’s time for him to take this at bat and make something of it. Playing to so-called moderate dems and independents is not the sure road to victory. McCain needs to get a pair and go after the prize like he really wants it.

As an aside, Biden keeps talking about the Messiah warning about subprime problems back in ‘05 or whatever. Onada mentioned it in his debate with McCain, too. I have seen no evidence documenting those statements. Did I miss something?

“If this were a college debate, Biden won on points.”

And Biden had to LIE THROUGH HIS TEETH to get those “Points”...

He lied 14 times last nite, and was making things up as he went along! And NO ONE in our MSM is going to call him on it, or anyone other than FOX even DARE to mention it.

The Youtube Vid PROVING that Biden was lying about his coal statement was posted on FR within minutes. NOBODY has picked it up.

Yet CNN was parrotting Talking Points from the head of DAILY KOS 5 minutes after he posted them.

*groan* Why is this thread in breaking news? It looks silly. I can’t believe so many folks here had never heard the term “Bosniak” before.

The Bosniaks or Bosniacs[25] (Bosnian: Bošnjak, pl: Bošnjaci, IPA: are a South Slavic people, living mainly in Bosnia and Herzegovina (”Bosnia”) and the Sandžak region of Serbia and Montenegro, with a smaller autochthonous population also present in Croatia, Kosovo and the Republic of Macedonia. Bosniaks are typically characterized by their tie to the Bosnian historical region, traditional adherence to Islam, and common culture and language.

In the English-speaking world, Bosniaks are most commonly known as Bosnian Muslims, although Bosniaks make up 48% of the population while only 40% of the population (of B&H) is Muslim.[26] The term “Bosnians”, also used interchangeably, can also be used to denote all inhabitants of Bosnia regardless of ethnic origin (i.e. not only Bosniaks, but also Bosnian Serbs, Bosnian Croats or any other group in the country).[27] ~wikipedia
