The best is when the black woman says "She's been there, she's done that, and she's ready to do it again." My favorite moment of the debate (Click the image to see it on shirts, mugs, etc.):

This is awesome! People are seeing what an amazing person she really is! Biden tried to make things sound “experienced,” but, as I’ve seen, they were lies.

Sarah just talked straight to the people and Biden just seemed focused on attacking McCain. That’s all he seemed to care about.

Sarah is a fresh start for America.

GO SARAH!!!!

When in history (and I’m speaking as a 35 year old, so I don’t have a ton of experience to speak of) has a Vice Presidential candidate made such an impact on the elections?

Just curious and asking from my fellow Freepers and their knowledge.

In spite of Ifill’s help and the tape on his face to make him look younger, he still lost... oh, well.

Well, I'm not THAT much older than you, so my experience is limited too. Still, I don't think there's EVER been this much focus on the VP.

Whether or not that translates into votes...time will tell. You can bet that the exit polls will ask the question: "How much did the VP impact your vote?"

Right of front when she asked “Can I call you ‘Joe’?” she had him back on his heels. He stood there waiting for her to be nice and call him ‘Joe’. And when she did she said “Say it ain’t so, Joe.” He had to be thinking “She just zinged me and I gave her permission to do it.”

My wife says she called shaninegans on his bu tt.

I'm in my late 40s, and it's never happened in my lifetime. BUT, there's never been a VP candidate like Palin, male or female. I can't think of one that comes close.

Think of it. Most Republicans would prefer to see her at the top of the ticket. She could easily provide McCain with another 1-3% of the vote, and that could turn the election.

A lot of people felt the same way about Dick Cheney. Including me.

Biden: “The idea he [Cheney]doesn’t realize that Article I of the Constitution defines the role of the vice president of the United States, that’s the Executive Branch. He works in the Executive Branch. He should understand that. Everyone should understand that.”

First, Article one is the LEGISLATIVE branch not the executive. Everybody should understand that. Furthermore the role of the Vice President is mentioned in BOTH Article I (the Legislative) and Article II (Executive).

So much for Biden the Constitutional scholar.

What a tool.

I listen to classic FM every morning. Unfortunately, that means NPR news. I noticed that there was nary a word on the debate last night. That told me all I needed to know. Palin won.

When in history ... has a Vice Presidential candidate made such an impact ... ?

Franklin Roosevelt's 1941-1945 VP was Henry Wallace, and Roosevelt's 1945-1948 VP was Harry Truman.

All in America should thank God that Henry Wallace was not VP when Roosevelt died on April 12, 1945.
