John McCain and Sarah Palin will attend an afternoon rally at Lehigh University's Stabler Arena next week, a Republican official said this afternoon. The duo on the Republican presidential ticket will visit Bethlehem on Wednesday -- a day after Sen. McCain is scheduled to debate Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama in Nashville, Tenn.

Details such as a time and when tickets will be made available have yet to be announced. The appearance will be free and open to the public.

Officials at Lehigh University have not returned phone calls about the scheduled visit.

I guess I am just stupid for thinking that John McCain needs to campaign without Sarracuda and send her to the swing states that we need to energize. She can do it on her own and we NEED her to do just that!

I'm not even running for president and I can see what needs to be done.

Lehigh is (I think) where the Eagles have summer training camp. They are only 2-2 right now.

This is just beyond stupid. McCain, turn her loose, go to different areas and let Sarah be Sarah.

Yeah, those small crowds without Gov. Palin sure were helping the image. He really ought to go back to that.

So you don't think they could reach out to twice as many people if they split up? Palin is needed in the swing states to turn the heat up on No Bama and keep him off of his game.

Besides, she hits harder than McCain.

Why would it work now when it was such a disaster before?!?
