They need to cook a few other polls that show Barack Hussein Obama breaking the magic 50.

all the polls heavily weight democrats by double digits. I think the huge number of fraudulant registration, are screwing up the polls because they’re all weight them based on registration numbers

Don't believe the polls. The media is trying to create a false reality in which Obama is actually electable.
I refuse to believe Americans are that stupid.

Don’t despair...this too will pass. Obama will not win. Palin will save McCain’s campaign.

Which means that McCain is really up by a couple, if these polls have all been cooked the same way.

That may be so, but you have to believe that, unlike EVERY OTHER ELECTION SINCE 1964, there will be more than a 4% turnout spread between dims and Republicans. Sain’t happenin

Also, there isn't ANYTHING we can do about a poll result.
We can try and help the campaign if possible, and go vote. That's about it. No sense getting twisted over poll numbers.
If the polls turn out to be correct, then it's on to 2010 and trying to get as many good conservatives elected to congress as possible to stop the maniac Obama.

I pray that you're right. I have seen more Obama bumper stickers on cars than McCain, but then again, I live in The Peoples' Republic Of California.

I always believe certain polls (Rassmussen, Battleground). With the news of the last 2 weeks, I think we’re at Obama’s peak. So, I think (and hope) M&P will now chip away at that lead.

Have any Freepers been polled recently? I haven’t. Even if I was I might not answer.

Don't. I can't say about Battleground, but the track record for Rasmussen from 2004, even in the final week when they actually try to be accurate since that's the only week customers pay attention to, was pitiful. They missed the spread in State polling by an average of 5%, and leaned slightly Dem in the process (though not as Dem-leaning as SUSA or Gallup).

I did get polled the other night.

Frankly not looking good right now. Obama has solidified a 6 point lead and held it the last 7-10 days now. Also, republicans are starting to see a slide down ticket races.

Face it, this financial crisis has swamped McCain and the republicans. It isn’t fair since the dems mostly caused it.

Unless all these polls are wrong, or some major game changer the next 4 weeks, it will be president Obama.

At Powerline they have this about The Minnesota Poll, which I think is typical

Doing a little bit of digging, we have obtained the internals of the September 15 Princeton Survey Research poll (in which Coleman led by four points) and today's Princeton Survey Research poll. The September 15 poll had a party identification breakdown between Democrats and Republicans of 34-31. In today's poll the party identification breakdown between Democrats and Republicans is 42-26. (Michael Brodkorb has posted a Coleman campaign memo with the Princeton Survey Research internals here.) The shift in the breakdown of the sample tracks the difference in the results reported and raises the question whether Minnesotans have shifted party identification by 13 points in the past three weeks or whether the current poll sample is invalid.

This is propaganda mind games, psychological warfare if you will.  If this poll shows Obama up by this much that means that he's really down by at least 4.

I just got what I consider credible info that McCain campaign internal polling shows California in play and that's why Palin is there this weekend. Interesting, if true.  You need to study and understand the "Bradley Effect."  It's not that people lie to polsters about voting for Obama because they're racists.  It's because they're convinced that they'll be called racists if they don't say that they're voting for Obama.

Again, if true, this could be a Reaganesque landslide for McCain/Palin.  That could also be followed by racist violence to make 1968 look mild.

McCain has TWO more opportunities to lay this financial mess at the feet of the DEMs and do it forcibly. Heck if lib nutso Alec Baldwin even gets that the dems caused this financial mess, then middle America will too....IF it’s explained to them.
