RNC to File FEC Complaint on Obama Fundraising Practices
washingtonpost.com ^ | 10/05/08 | Matthew Mosk

A lawyer for the Republican National Committee today said the party will ask the Federal Election Commission to look into the source of thousands of small-dollar contributions to the presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama.

The RNC is alleging that the Obama campaign was so hungry for donations it "looked the other way" as contributions piled up from suspicious, and possibly even illegal foreign donors.

"We believe that the American people should know first and foremost if foreign money is pouring into a presidential election," said RNC Chief Counsel Sean Cairncross.

Cairncross alleged there was mounting evidence of this, and cited an Oct. 4 report in Newsweek that documents a handful of instances where donors made repeated small donations using fake names, such as "Good Will" and "Doodad Pro."

Maybe they waited until more and more objective evidence became clear. Hopefully, they sat a trap on the dems.

I heard Obama's campaign has 1/2 billion dollars....much is expected to have come in from overseas.

Hey, but do not fear we have McCain's campaign finance laws protecting us....(sarc)

Obama does not have to disclose contributions coming in under $200, McCain does anyway. I suspect some smart Oil sheik has contributed most of it in $200 increments.

FEC investigator Clouseau Leadshoes will get right on this, and the investigation will be complete the day after President Obama signs the pardons.

How about also demanding to see an authentic birth certificate?

Why do you think Obamination went abroad if not to collect campaign funds? The Muzzies have complied, I have no doubt.

We all no nothing will be done about it before the election

Obama's already run his 24 hour ad....you would think that any reporter, even in the MSM, would be even a bit curious about where all this mega money is flowing in from. But hey, why should we worry about the money, campaign finance reform is keeping everyone honest.

“How about finding out if he is a citizen while you are at it.”

Sure, why shouldn’t a foreigner use foreign money. LOL

I think that gazillions of small credit card payments from Saudi Arabia might have an effect on some voter’s perceptions of this guy.

I would love to know just how many CC donations are $199.99 just under the limit?

How about hundreds of thousands of volunteers investigating RAT voter fraud that has been plotted for months and old standbys that have been used for decades. They’re digging in grave yards and going into nursing homes and homeless shelters stealing votes. Let’s not forget the illegals voting too.

Are we seeing an actual NARRATIVE being written before our eyes?

Timing is everything.

All the issues being raised are "common sense" type issues that Joe six-pack will understand.

The convoluted explanation that would be required for the MSM to bail out Obama will not be able to be implemented in time to outweigh the damage of the people see his true colors prior to election day.

IMHO, California is still in play (as is evey other state in the union).

Agree.

He has to be overwhelmed with negatives before voters will take a serious look into them.

About frickin’ time. Too bad the Glorious Leader and his shock troops will shut the investigation down in about three months.

Thank you! This is perfect timing to get inside the Obama head even more. It has been known for sometime but the electorate doesn’t start listening until right before the election.

What’s Obama’s next move? Say it is racist again?

So many people on here are so quick to judge that everything McCain is doing is wrong that it makes me wonder. This is a chess match and McCain is controlling the board right now.
