Stolen election & living with right-winged Americans finally brought him to his early demise

Resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other guy to die.

The obit says he died because of the strain "of living in this unjust country“.

An avid atheist, he studied the bible and religion with more fervor than most Christians. He had strong political opinions and followed Amy Goodman’s radio broadcast “Democracy Now.” Alas the stolen election of 2000 and living with right-winged Americans finally brought him to his early demise. Stress from living in this unjust country brought about several heart attacks rendering him disabled.

But I expect it’s more what Will Smith said to his son in “Just the Two of Us,” “…hate in your heart will consume you, too.”

Bozo election would spell the end of free elections in this country. We would never see any elections that we would win. Obama is a dictator waiting to happen and if he gets his communist senate and house also America is headed for a totalitarian state. Don’t think so? Look at the “youth” programs he has already started building. Look at the blatant way he tries to suppress criticism of anything he does, sending out LEOs and the AG in one state to act as a truth squad. If you can look at that sh** and still think there is no difference between McCain and Bozo then you have a serious mental problem, and I am not kidding. Go get help, fast!

My liberal family members have no idea how scandalized I am to my core at their positions.
I feel your pain. My wife and her Filipino family are all libs for the sole reason that they think the Dems care more about minorities. They are good, sweet, well educated, hard working people, but they've fallen into the trap, and no amount of debating, or enlightening seems to break them free from that perception. They're all excited about the Obamination :(

If we can exploit this incredible power over our opponents health...the sky is the limit.

The shift in momentum is disabling to me.

I think this dispiriting feeling is a major hurdle for us.

With an Obamination Presidency, we would have a chance to repeat 1994 in 2010.

More like a repeat of 1979.

I did my part by not voting as the MSM demanding in 2000.

“... living with right-winged Americans finally brought him to his early demise”

But if he had only hung in there, Obama will “unite” America and make it possible to live with right-winged Americans (or maybe he’ll just arrest all of us).

“My wife actually thinks we have a better chance of achieving President Palin if nobama wins.”

I hate to admit but I have had similar thoughts. Might be too much to undo by that point.

I'd blame this on Pacifica Radio and Amy Bin Goodman in particular for her Democracy?!! Now(?!!!) program.

The hateful bilge of left wing hate radio drove this man to an early grave. He couldn't take it anymore.

24-7 agitprop does not make for a healthy diet.

His brain had been disabled long before this.

Anybody have advice on not letting political/cultural resentment eat away at you.

Brownsfan nailed it. You have to unplug. It's a genuine problem, especially if you happen to be addicted to FR (I can quit anytime I want!) - and especially at this point in a Presidential campaign. We have four weeks left so taking a couple off may not be in the cards but taking a day or two off is necessary for your health if you're starting to feel symptoms of anxiety - sleeplessness, temper, chronic anger, depression. Just let it go. Prayer helps. I'm assuming from the link that you do; if not, meditation is useful as well.

This stuff can absolutely eat you up, which is why I'm not mocking the devout athiest mentioned in the article. His problem is that he blamed other people for it. Us eeeeeevil conservatives didn't kill him; he did.

Sometimes you just have to stay away from politics. My brother is a major lib, so we talk more about family concerns and I visit his studio to see what art he is creating. Family is about more than politics. When the going gets tough, my brother is an honorable man and I’d trust him hands down.

Have a large whiskey. If you don’t feel better, have another. Have some corn chips and habanero salsa, too. I’ll send you my recipe if you think it would help.

This item is from 2005, by the way. Isn’t it time to move on?

The most under-reported reason for the stability of our constitutional republic may be fore-knowledge of a Date Certain when the next election will take place. This is an important safety valve for the "revolutionary impulse." No matter how an election turns out, you can know that everything is up for grabs four years later, in presidential contests, anyway.

That's the theory, anyway. If I felt certain that we could count on another election, I wouldn't be as concerned. A generation ago, the notion that artificial emergencies could delay or hamper that "Date Certain" were beyond Tin Foil. I'm not so sure, any longer.

More is at stake here than familial relations. We are headed toward a true Civil War, and wouldn't that just play right into Obama's hands. We're reaping a harvest of the triumph of Progressive Education and Hegalian Synthesis, and we've listened to the liberals bitch about "stolen elections" for eight years.

I don't know about you, but if I thought for a minute that an election had been truly stolen, I wouldn't spend the next four to eight years bitching about it, and I wouldn't be worried about whether that position was ahead in the polls or if I were totally alone in that position. Neither would I advertise my intent.

Let's just say al Qaida is the least that the practical Democrats who would take over the federal government would have to worry about.

"The only thing they have to fear is me."
