Medvedev: Europe all your energy are belong to us. Now, are you interested in joining our economic pact?

As they say, “Bingo, we have a winner!”

Thank you both for your service. Mine wasn’t as noteworthy, 4 yrs and Iraq 2005-06.

As you suggest Mountain Troll, it is likely the number of decision-makers will quickly increase.

In the near term, it may be good to live in a county that has a Republican sherrif and be available on an auxilliary basis.

O.K., fine. We'll bring the Army and Marines home, pull up the draw bridge, strengthen the Navy and Coast Guard, build enormous electrified border fences, complete with mine fields, and give the rest of it to Europe, the Russians, and the Chinese.

They can have it, as far as I'm concerned.

Cool. Does that mean we can move all of our garrisons and equipment out of Europe and use them in the ME?

Works for me. I’ll miss the good guys, like Poland, though.

Hey Europe... screw with us and you will need to learn to speak rooskie... because America is tired of your pu$$ified ways! You are either WITH us... or AGAINST us... and there will be NO middle ground!

If the rooskie army did not turn on Russians during the downfall... Americans will not turn on Americans either. If people see that our government is violating the US Constitution, I cannot see the Military killing civilians. I give OUR American brothers and sisters serving in uniform more credit than I do those rooskie conscripts.

"On hindsight, geez, why did we bother last time?

That's a very good question. They hated us then as much as now. Ambrose Bierce, in his Devils Dictionary defined the word "beggar" as "One who has relied on the assistance of his friends."

In order to end the "unipolar" model in which the world depended on the United States, he proposed creating new financial systems to challenge the dominance of the International Monetary Fund and the World Trade Organisation, both of which had fallen under Washington's spell.

Ah. So Medvedev is now Venezuela Chavez' mouth puppet? Along with Iran? They've been saying this stuff for, what, 3 years?

Guess arms and mil transport sales aren't doing so good for Russia... Chavez would only buy some, eh?

No that's not the way it will go down. A tyrannical socialist Obamoid government will secure the Army to its bases, bring in large contingents of UN troops from every sh*t-hole turd world country, and give them unlimited authority. Good Americans will be busy shooting looters and rapists in blue helmets.

I hope we never find out but I know enough of our History to know some black radical muzzie marxist and his black panther buddies are not enough to destroy this Nation... some of us are still willing to cross a frozen Potomac.

The Russian bear is awake from its slumber.

....and still has a GDP smaller than that of Texas.

A country can grow wealth through productive endeavors or through plunder. Don't forget about plunder. It's the age-old method. And Russia is eying up some Euro-booty.

Hey, Dmitry, howdya like them oil prices? How's that stock market working out? Unsuspended it yet?

Under the Soviets they used to act like they ruled half the world. Under Putin they're lucky to get a nod from Huey Chavez. Pathetic.

Dmitry Medvedev, has called on European leaders to create a new world order that minimises the role of the US.

New world order? New world order?! We don't need no stinking New world order!

The hell you say. EVERY day served in the military is noteworthy because of the time you give to the Republic and are away from your family. You did 4 years and served in Iraq. I salute you and your service fellow warrior.

Its partly this attitude that could send Europe towards Russia. Indifference is a dangerous animal.

Conservative leader David Cameron said at the party conference that the problem with Labour was that it was saying to the British public that you had to support the state or fall by the wayside. In other words, there was nothing but the state, nothing inbetween. The same can be said of the attitude that many Americans exhibit when talking about Europe, or the world. Its a case of ‘you’re with us or against us’, and history has taught us that things are never as simple as we want to believe, things aren’t just black and white.

What else is bringing Georgia and FYROM into NATO if not to annoy russia? What capabilities do the two countries being? Are they expert infantry? Engineers? Logisticians? Pilots? No, they are second rate countries that see NATO as a nice big pie they can bite from, without putting any time and effort into making the damn thing. Now, the US isn’t stupid, so they know that there is nothing that these two countries could bring to NATO that isn’t already there. They know that what they would do is antagonise Russia, for reasons I don’t have the foggiest.
