Today, McCain-Palin 2008 released the following statement signed by 100 distinguished and experienced economists at major American universities and research organizations, including five Nobel Prize winners Gary Becker, James Buchanan, Robert Mundell, Edward Prescott, and Vernon Smith. The economists explain why Barack Obama's proposals, including "misguided tax hikes," would "decrease the number of jobs in America." The prospects of such tax rate increases under Barack Obama are already harming the economy. The economists conclude that "Barack Obama's economic proposals are wrong for the American economy." The proposals "defy both economic reason and economic experience."

THIS is what the campaign should be focusing on.

Raising taxes going into the teeth of a monster recession/depression is insanity.

Finally!!! Some economic wisdom injected into this race. How many newspapers or MSM media outlets will publicize this fully?

They will have to cover it when/IF, McCain brings this up day and night out on the stump.

You know none of this matters to the people who are voting for the Messiah. He is bringing hope and change to the world and that is all that matters. I have talked to people who are voting for him and pointed out his inconsistencies and lies, and all I hear is all politicians have those same issues, but Barry is going to change the country. I think sometimes we get to hung up on facts and reason. Nobody voting for Barry is voting based on either one of those things trust me. Do you think that those Black para military types care about this, or the college kids, or the save the earth crowd, or the pro death feminists? Of course not facts mean nothing to these people.

Which is why we fight now or there will be no need to fight in the future.

We are in a fight for our grandchildren. They deserve the country we had.

This is not the time to let our wishes and our beliefs cloud the issue of who will be the next president.

There is no choice if we want a free country for our grandchildren. There would be so much destruction in our government, our laws, our constitution, it would take us 100 years to come back - if we could stop the onslaught of communism/socialism/marxism from within by a democrat congress and a democrat president - Obama.

People here better grow up quick and realize they are not going to have the ideal president this time or possibly ever. But, they sure better honor the soldiers that died for this democracy and try and prevent its destruction by waving a white flag because they did not get their laundry list filled.

Tax Policy Center:

Obama’s tax plans would cost the U.S federal government nearly $900 billion in his first term, and increase the national debt by $3.3 trillion over ten years.
