4) People DELIBERATELY lying to the pollsters (like I did a couple days ago).

I didn't lie, but I dod refuse to answer the question. The chick disturbed my dogs.

I am not a professional poll manager, but I could take a poll and it would reflect what ever I want it to. Lets say for Instance we took all of the pole in the Eagles Club. Hmmm. Next one we took after Church in the Presbyterian Church, Hmmm. I don't think their polling is scientific or reliable. Last election had Carry beating Bush by 14 points a week before the election. Remember the poll that had Harry Truman losing to Thomas Dewey. I keep telling you that the women are not saying anything, but when the curtain closes in the voting booth the women are going to support one of their own. The next big block of votes that people are overlooking is the “ Red Necks” There are a gazillion voters out there that will never vote for a black man no matter what. We are going to win BIG time.

People lie to pollsters like people lie to themselves. People like to the pollsters because they are asked a question that starts with an absurd premise, a lie, as it were: “IF THE ELECTION WERE HELD TODAY?” Well Mr Pollster, dude, the election is not being held today.

The second forgotten aspect is that a good number of people hang up on pollsters. These hanger uppers are believed to be mostly, well, guess who, conservatives, and the hanger upper element is never factored into the so called “scientific formula” of the polls.

It has been rumoured, and believe me I am not trying to hijack the thread, that the scientists behind the science of polling are the same “scientists” who are behind the “science” of evolution.

I don’t have that link but here’s some presidential polling history from Gallup. Gallup caught the late move by Reagan, which followed the final debate where Reagan famously used the line, “Are you better off than you were four years ago?”

Revolting cat!

Of course. "This won't hurt a bit", "Almost done", and of course "The leather restraints are for YOUR protection".
