“Throw every incumbent out of office! Only YOU can change Washington!”
McCain: I understand how congress thinks. I understand the problem, because I used to be part of the problem. Gov. Palin is here to remind me how to avoid being the problem. She’s here to make sure I understand what the people want.
That was sure a bad thing to say...He could have said “I will have Gore at my right hand and Andrew at my left hand and together we will spend 300B of your money bailing out homeowners other than you.
McCain’s getting pounded on health care here in the Philly area - might explain why he’s losing some of the senior vote - no matter what else, he’d better get a good ad up soon defending his plan and demolishing Obama’s......
That is a good line for the last debate, since Obama wants him to say something to his face. McCain needs to have all dates and connections at the ready, because I sense Obama is trying to set McCain up somehow.
McCain/Palin:
“Democrats have spent years falsely claiming that Republicans gave tax loopholes to big business, all while Democrat cronies were frantically looting the financial institutions and retirement accounts of millions of Americans for hundreds of billions of dollars in stratospheric salaries, bogus bonuses, and political bribery disguised as campaign contributions.”
Wow. Interesting thought. How so?
McCain finally stepped up and produced a commercial that succinctly lays out what the public needs to know about the Ayers/Obama relationship.

How about
The best way to fix the economic crisis is to create new jobs and put people back to work with cheaper oil, drill now, and cleaner energy.
Now is not the time for the shining city on a hill speech. If people are so stupid that they need a simple, single-message message they probably won't vote republican anyway.
yes pointing out the negatives is good but what should his vote-FOR-me message be in the last three weeks?
Health care is an issue. Too many people going after Obama's free health care with both hands out. McCain needs to ask people how they think Obama will pay for that national health care that Obama thinks every person has a right to?
One thing I am certain about....
McCain shouldnt overemphasize the Ayers/Obama relationship.
He’ll be wasting a lot of money and accomplish very little.
PEOPLE IN GENERAL WONT CARE.
Their main concern is the economy their jobs, bank account, retirement funds.
HE BETTER TELL THEM HOW HIS PLAN IS BETTER THAN OBAMAs ON THIS ISSUE OF THE FINANCIAL CRISIS AND THE TANKING ECONOMY.
Ayers/Obama is not on anyones mind right now.
Yes he did have that advantage, but they still had a reason to vote for Reagan. He knew it and gave them that reason and said it over and over again until people got it.
You got it ClearCase. She has the tremendous advantage of being the only outsider in this race- she can blame them all, and they can’t point back at her. She will rally people against Washington- and Mccain, though tarnished, will ultimately get the benefit.
I honestly don’t know, but Obama and his camp keep repeating it, and have repeated it ad nauseum all day. I just can’t shake the feeling that they are up to something.
EXACTLY my thought: so how does he bring the economic message and make it clear, concise and cogent?
McCain’s theme should be, “Who is Obama?”
Economic recovery.
National security.
Second verse, same as the first.
