CINCINNATI - A federal appeals court sided with Ohio's top elections official Friday in her running battle with Republicans over how to verify the eligibility of newly registered voters.

The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals set aside a federal judge's order a day earlier that Democratic Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner institute the means to verify voter registration information and make it available to Ohio's 88 county election boards.

Other than providing for fraudulent votes, what could be a logical, intelligent reason for not requiring ID when someone either registers or comes to vote?

Just one more reason that an Obama win is illegitimate and will be overturned by “the people”.

god, i get a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach every morning when i wake up now. i think we have lost our country. without a shot fired. i try to believe that we can still save at least this election but i think we let the radical left have an inch and they took the whole country while we were sleeping.

the demon rats really don’t care if they win by absolute fraud. they think we “stole” the election on 04 and 00

I have the same feeling you do. You know how unjust all of this is, and then you see that nothing will be done about it.

Actually, I just feel very sad.

"With less than a month until the election, and less than two weeks until the beginning of counting absentee ballots ..."

OK, can someone explain what is happening here? I thought the law in Ohio was you had to be registered to vote 30 days prior to election day. And the Sec. Of State said that the same day registration and voting using absentee ballots was legal because these votes were only being cast and would not be counted until election day thus adhering to the 30 day requirement.

But now we learn that absentee ballots will actually be counted prior to, less than 30 days, the election day!

With all due respect, screw you.

We are not lost. We are going to get out the vote. There are a dozen or so counties in Ohio that will decide this state and we are going there and getting out the vote.

Do you think this decision will be appealed? What is being said in Ohio?

Somebody, please, explain this situation, details please. Is SOS saying that they are checking info at their central location, or is she saying that these registrations don’t need to be checked at all?

Not us but Bush and the GOP congress --especially compassionate conservative Bush

The government and especially DOJ should have been cleaned out of Clinton supporters and appointees the day after he was sworn in in 2001

And the giving Sandy Berger a slap on the wrist was another sign of wimpy George .

The MSM had successfully neutered the GOP years ago

The only way this gets stopped is through a massive public outcry BUT with the left wing controlling the MSM it will be a wimper at best

I live on the cusp of eastern Buckeye, about 20 miles from the state line ... I see a lot of Ohio plates and ... it’s scarey ... a lot of obama stickers.
