CBS News apparently had an October surprise of its own for President Bush.

The network, already reeling from accusations of bias over anchorman Dan Rather's use of bogus memos to challenge Mr. Bush's Texas Air National Guard record, acknowledged yesterday in a statement that it had planned to air a story critical of the Bush administration's handling of Iraqi munitions Sunday on "60 Minutes," two days before the presidential election.

In the last few weeks we've had the "Oil Crisis" ... McCain starting winning ... now we have the "Subprime Crisis" ... which could die down by November 4 to give McCain and opening ... it all keeps drowning out the Acorn-Ayers-Wright-Resko-Farahkan-Obama scandal ... so what will the D's and the MSM gin up next, over the next three weeks, to elect Obama? And how can McCain-Palin anticipate and break through the hysteria and fear-mongering by November 4?

My wife came up with an interesting thought yesterday. Her sister’s first marriage was shall we say not the best. Her ex was verbally abusive and she learned to be very careful what she said around him because she didn’t want to deal with the consequences. My wife tied that to McCain’s time in the Hanoi Hilton. She wondered if 5 years of being told “Colonel Trang” would be very upset to hear you say that and then getting beaten wouldn’t make a man just a little gun shy of criticism from the people who control his future in this case the Media who are the arbiters of all thing political in this nation. It’s a little far fetched I know, but he does seem to crave the approval of the Media and the Left both powers in this Country, while being very willing to attack his own Party and conservative in general.
