REZKO SINGING: OBAMA SWEATING?
rightwingnuthouse ^ | Rick Moran

Posted on 10/11/2008 1:55:57 PM PDT by flyfree

A man who has long been dogged by charges that the bank his family owns helped finance a Chicago crime figure will host a Windy City fund-raiser tonight for Sen. Barack Obama.

Alexi Giannoulias, who became Illinois state treasurer last year after Obama vouched for him, has pledged to raise $100,000 for the senator’s Oval Office bid.

Before he promised to raise funds for Obama, Giannoulias bankrolled Michael “Jaws” Giorango, a Chicagoan twice convicted of bookmaking and promoting prostitution.

...

(4) The Giannoulias family was involved with Obama as far back as his first state senate campaign in 1996. It has been long rumored here in Chicago that Obama obtained a sweetheart deal on his first town home here in Chicago — which he could not have afforded otherwise — and guess who the financing came from for that house? We’ve been told it was Broadway Bank, the Giannoulias bank. Now, this sets up a scenario where the Giannoulias family helps Obama with his campaign finances and gets him deeper in their pocket with his sweetheart mortgage deal (for the first home he owned that he could not afford) – all in exchange for quid pro quo to be determined later.

(5) One favor political Chicago claims Obama did for the Giannoulias family was in 2006 when, out of the blue, 29 year old Alexi Giannoulias, with no experience, and without ever having voted before, decides to run for State Treasurer of Illinois. Also out of the blue, Barack Obama endorses Alexi Giannoulias for State Treasurer. This was a SHOCK to everyone in Chicago — and Giannoulias would have never become State Treasurer without Obama’s help. In political circles here, it has always been believed that this endorsement was bought years ago with that sweetheart mortgage deal Broadway Bank arranged for Obama to buy his town house.

(6) So, the Tony Rezko sweetheart deal was not the first magic home loan Obama ever received to buy a house he could not afford.

There’s more to this that looks like it will break soon. We were STUNNED when we read Sneed’s column because we never in a million years believed Fitz would actually be able to take down Obama.

Will we now be going from “Arkancides” to “Chicagocides”?

I think that your average obama-worshipper either is not going to understand this, or don’t care.

The latter. They don't care.

“Independents” who knows?

If you can't put it on a bumper sticker the "independents" will think it's too complicated and ignore it.

We could always say it johnny cochran style.

“If O is in the stink with rezco, the O gotta go.”
Not real creative, but i’m positive many other freepers could make up some real zingers.

If the feds go after Obama with the proper paperwork - after he’s elected - can he just pardon himself anyway?

This makes no sense at all...I’ve been seeing an ad, Obama facing the camera, talking about change...in calm words inciting hatred for banks and oil companies...I think we’ve all been left behind...or sumpin.

“Why would he ‘sing’ against the guy who could pardon him? Just wishful thinking from an ever increasingly desperate segment of the voter base.”

That’s exactly the point.

Also, what could Rezco give them that would be admissible in court? The article only goes over matters already in the public record.

Get back to the issues....

You have a point, but that’s assuming an awful lot. Does Rezko have a promise from Obama that he will be pardoned on Obama’s first day in office? Or his last day four or eight years from now?

I think we already have a well-established pattern of behavior wherein Obama tosses aside those no longer useful to him.

You are on target: Oprah-Obama type people have an IQ of about 90 and cannot understand any of the dangers this charlatan presents.

As Rezko sings — Obama eventually heads to jail himself.

Everybody keeps saying Rezko is singing .. but somehow I just don’t believe it.

I think they have Rezko stashed away - delaying his sentencing so it won’t tarnish Obama.

If Obama should get elected then Rezko can be sentenced and it would be too late to affect Obama .. and the only way to get Obama out of office at that point would be to impeach him .. and if there is a democrat-proof congress (which the dems are hoping for) - impeachment would be out of the question.

I’m not the biggest fan of McCain .. but Obama is just too risky for me. I do not want that socialist anywhere near the WH. I’m even willing to risk the riots of Obama loses.

They will riot in neighborhoods no sane person would want to visit/live-in anyway. In the unlikely event that they decided to come up 206 from Trenton, I've got plenty of bricks of buckshot.

I think one of the comments was right. Obama is Rezko’s “greatest hope”. He's just holding on ‘til Obama is elected. Then he can ask for a new “friendlier” prosecutor or even ask for a full pardon!

If Obama gets elected, this will be one of our smallest concerns. McCain needs to stop “endorsing” Obama and start pointing out the difference between the small government ideology and outright socialism—and what it will cost us.

An 0bama pardon of Rezko would be wayyy too obvious. However, a mass firing of US Attorneys...

I suppose you’re right.

More likely he’ll get one of his stooge lawyers to find some “improper procedures” and get Rezko off on a technicality, like his old buddy Ayers.

The sad part is that a lot of innocent people can be killed or their homes or businesses destroyed.

I’m not worried about where I live.
