This just makes me like the Palin family better. Todd’s big “ethics violation” was that we loved his wife and wanted to protect her.

Exactly! If the McCain campaign and the Republicans can manage to get the details out on why Todd did what he did, then it will actually be a positive - not only with the base, but with the public at large.
