Patricia and Wesley Galloway could not have children of their own. Yet for them, the essence of marriage is rooted in procreation.
“It takes a man and a woman to create children and thus create a family,” Mrs. Galloway, 60, told a legislative panel in Connecticut last year as it was considering a bill to legalize same-sex marriage.
The bill never went to a vote, but on Friday the Connecticut Supreme Court eliminated the need for a bill when it struck down the state’s civil union law and ruled that same-sex couples have a constitutional right to marry.
The decision was cheered by gay couples who argued that civil unions, despite giving them the same rights as married couples, were something less than marriage. But it has caused consternation among opponents of gay marriage, many of whom, like the Galloways, say their objections are not based on religion or morality, but in nature.
The Galloways represent one side of a debate that is often charged by undercurrents of bigotry and religious belief. The court’s ruling on Friday went on at length about the history of discrimination against gay people.
While they are Christians, the Galloways say they refuse to use religion to defend their view of marriage because it just muddies things. And they insist they are accepting of everyone, regardless of sexual orientation.
By protecting heterosexual marriage, what “we’re trying to do is protect the foundation of society,” Mrs. Galloway, a volunteer worker from Trumbull, Conn., said in a telephone interview on Saturday.
“Everyone who disagrees is automatically labeled a right-wing bigot,” she said.
Her husband added, “How can you be a bigot when you’re looking out for society as a whole?”

I’d suggest that the best approach is to use whatever method is effective. Those with religious beliefs will be swayed by religious arguments. Those without will mock religious arguments.
Facts and logic are likely to convince the non-religious straights. But if someone is living a gay lifestyle, it’s unlikely they will change their mind. They are going to continue to do whatever they find pleasurable and it has nothing to do with logic. If logic mattered, people would not smoke themselves to death or engage in activities likely to kill them with diseases like AIDS.
Forget the word “marriage”.
As a matter of simple biology, I don’t actually classify what homosexuals do to each other as “intercourse”. I feel it demeans the word.
Quite often, my opinions on this matter are generally not very well received.
As long as the door is open why not let 3 or 4 or 5 people get “married”? After all why discriminate against loving couples?
We should also legalize multiple wives and/or multiple
husbands.

We should always use biology and science to attack the lie of homosexual marriage and sexual deviancy. People can do whatever they wish with others but it does not make their behavior correct. There is a reason homosexuality is such a disease ridden behavior. Also the level of promiscuity involved in homosexual/bisexuality is such that it places all of society at risk as new forms of sexual pathogens are more likely to take root in those communities first.
Also the big lie that coming out is healthy for the young only serves to expose young people to contracting diseases and being abused by older homosexuals. Abuse in the homosexual world is almost never addressed today because of the prevalent activism. Young children have been left to be molested in the care of homosexual couples because human services workers did not want to deal with the reality and place themselves as the target of homosexual activists.
We live in a culture of denial. It both harms society and harms those who believe they fit in one of the alternative categories plus it exposes an entire new generation to real dangers and death. That we have shifted so far from this reality in such a short time is a testament to the power of propaganda not science. We must defend the truth regardless of the labels sexual activists who are so consumed by obsession with their own sexual peculiarities and thoughts that they can barely seem to control themselves behaviorally where sex is concerned. This alone is an indication of conditions that up until recently would have been associated with mental disease not much different from exhibitionism.
That is one of the big problems because this is not the end. They will push and push until every child must be indoctrinated with sexual activist propaganda. Parents have already been sent to jail for standing against this in places like Massachusetts. They have as a goal to take our political right to disagree through mislabeling all forms of sexual expression, no matter how deviant, civil rights.
As long as it provides revenue or delivers votes, the government will condone it. There is no longer any semblance of morality or working for “the good of society.”
The concept of individual rights and liberty is perverted to accommodate all manner of things that degrade society. Individual rights and liberty are denied in order to redistribute wealth which also degrades society if you bother to look closely, but which has a surface appearance of “fairness” which is exploited by those in government who can use it as a path to power and control.

If nature intended for two men to have sex and be together then nature would have let them reproduce, Nature does not and there fore it is not a natural act but more a of a mental state of mind for which IMO they need to seek help.
Ever notice that most homo men are not masculine nor are the homo women very feminine.
They lack estrogen and tester one and I believe a research was done in Scandinavia where they actually found this to be true and could cure homosexuality.

Every argument the homosexuals use whether it be private business, 4 walls, not affecting us, not hurting us, just want to be happy , all those arguments can be used for 4 wives, 7 husbands even mother marrying her daughter.
If polygimists started to use the same arguments and sued I wonder what the homo’s would say.
Why they have not is beyond me. They could say as well that it is discrimination against them being happy.

well as a foster child I always wanted a father to teach me how to work on cars, build things etc, I always wanted a mother for her love and compassion.
I could go to dad and ask about my first date and how I will feel as he has been there, I could not go and ask my mother as she has not been in my shoes.
My sister would go to a mother and ask her as a father cannot tell a daughter how she will feel through puberty
I have two boys and they come to me my daughter goes to my wife about things like boys, etc
two men cannot tell a girl how she’ll feel and that is why a mother and a father should be there for a child, not two of the same sex
use economics is my thought. The whole same sex marriage thing is a scam, like people who start up churches in their homes to get tax exemptions. They may be very sincere, but they don’t qualify. Nobody has to feel bad about it, they just don’t qualify. Like people 50 years old that want to retire and draw social security. They may have paid more in, etc., etc. but they don’t qualify. No one’s feelings need to be hurt. When women take time out from their careers, etc to raise children, the heterosexual couple ends up years behind a pair of homosexuals that have no such responsibility. Nor does the hetero couple have the leisure time to commit to further education, training, etc. that boost the careers , earning power etc of the homosexual pair. So whatever narrow economic advantage is to be gained from marriage, why does the homosexual pair want that advantage on top of all the previously enumerated. It’s a scam on heterosexual couples.
