McCain could still win New Mexico. Pearce also could win the Senate seat but he needs to find a wedge to break Udall's Hispanic support down or at least make it harder for them to show up for Udall.

there is something about the polling numbers people should keep in mind.

this weekend i have heard nonstop how the McCain/Palin campaign is off the tracks and sooo far behind... it's complete crap as the polls do not factor in historical turnout. and that is before you factor in something new.. race.

the polling numbers assume that those polled will be voting. historically, dems have a lousy turnout compared to their registered number. also, independents normally side with republicans.

personally, i am anticipating a landslide for McCain/Palin

Here in NM I’ve been seeing a lot of rat commercials, and not many McCain and Pearce ads. Given this disparity, that the race is close is surprising and motivates me a lot.

I should also mention that there was a “poll” that said that Richardson had 61% approval rating. I can tell you that this is nonsense, unless the poll was taken in Santa Fe. If McCain and Pearce hit 0bama and Udall with abortion, that will do a lot to bring in more votes. Add to that the energy issue, which is a winner for us, and the Fannie-Freddie and we can win it here.

Politics in NM have ALWAYS been corrupt. NM will go to Obama, and Udall. Bill Richardson will see to it that it does. No matter what. They'll "find" more boxes of votes that were "accidentally left in a room." It won't be the first time that has happened. Did you know that NM now has mobile voting places? They will actually go out on the rez to allow people to vote. Did you know Obama has 35 offices in NM. A state with 1.9M population? We could end up with more registered voters than there are people living in NM.

When I owned the credit bureau in Farmington and the credit bureau in Gallup I worked with the state of NM to help them stop a widespread problem of people living in AZ obtaining food stamps and welfare in both NM and AZ. Gallup is only 20 miles from Window Rock, AZ, so it's very easy for them to get a post office box in Gallup and in AZ too. Both states were giving them money. That is probably going on with voters too. The Navajo tribe has around 250K members, so voter fraud on the reservation could be substantial.

Then we have to deal with all of the illegals who Richardson allowed to have a NM driver's license. With that license they could register to vote, and it will appear to be legal. All things considered, I think the RATS are going to sweep NM, by fraud, but nonetheless, they will take it all.
