Sarah Palin sat down Friday night with Tribune-Review political reporter Salena Zito for a wide-ranging interview that covered the economy, education, energy and the Alaska governor's approach to governing. It was Palin's first face-to-face interview with a print reporter as Republican vice presidential candidate. John McCain's running mate was in Pittsburgh for a fundraiser at the Westin Convention Center Hotel, Downtown.

Just heard on the radio news before the Terry Anderson show that McCain will appear with Letterman Thursday night. Supposedly, they have ‘made up’.
WHy on earth?
Because, pissant, more people get their political views from late night comedians and the view, etc. than they do from any other source.
COnsidering how anti-Bush these programs were in 2000 and 2004, I’d think it safe to ignore these idiots
McCAin has always appeared on these shows.

Personally, I agree with ignoring idiots. But some of Duncan Hunter’s best interviews were done with left wing questions. He absolutely thrived like it was a personal mission to tear up all those propaganda talking points.
Now Palin is no Duncan Hunter; but he thinks highly of her. So maybe she is of the same cloth.
Congrats.
As a FReeper, I’m just disappointed that, with an opportunity to question Palin about the one topic the media has purposefully not questioned her on, and the one topic she has failed to offer her position on, you passed on questioning her about illegal immigration & amnesty, especially since the economic crisis tracks back to Bush’s 2002 challenge for an ‘Ownership Society’. The number of subprimes given to illegal aliens would be tops on my list. Most frustrating, has been the media’s refusal to broach the subject and getting away with it. Irks me to no end.
