But, but, but...I thought the election was over?? At least that’s what the media told me.

I think it’s hilarious that people are panicking when in reality Mccain is doing BETTER at this stage than Bush was against Kerry in ‘04.

McCain will win this election. Handily.

I think that President Gore also had a "commanding lead" in Ohio about a week before the election. Always the same 4-6% points that swing from one side to the other overnight. Anybody who pays any attention to any poll other than the general election is simply asking to get hoodwinked.

Anytime :)

The basic question in this election is the following:

In what universe will Jeremiah Wright apprentice do better among the white voters in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Florida, and other battleground states than Kerry or Gore did? In the real universe there is no way he will do better or as good. In the alternate delusional universe of liberals, their media, and their polls he will.

Sadly, folks like us are in the minority of the total voting universe, and my biggest worry is that the word hasn’t gotten out to the rest. The MSM isn’t spreading it. McCain isn’t spreading it. Ignorance is our greatest enemy at the moment, but I keep praying and spreading the word as best I can.

Here are the 2004 polls from Ohio: Ohio 2004 Polls

Interesting that most of the polls from the beginning of October until about the third or fourth week of the month had Kerry ahead. Then, all of a sudden, the polls started showing Bush with the lead. CYA by the pollsters?

Yes, but did the samplings have +10% or more sampling of dummies in 2004? I don't recall that being an issue four years ago like it is this year.

That's a good question, and I suspect that you are right that this year's polls have party affiliations that are highly skewed towards DEMs. Also noted from 2004 that the LV polls started in early September. We didn't get many LV polls this year until just recently.

I don’t mean to piss on your parade and yes I agree it’s closer than the Dem weighted polls indicate but Obama is ahead baring high GOP turnout or a shift.

Kerry never ever lead Bush in 2004 nationally in the tracking polls except on occasion in 2 of 15 on the Real Clear Politics archives after mid August.

This is mid October and McCain is behind at least 3-5 points in all national tracking polls Ohio notwithstanding.

What to do?

Give money, talk to folks and hope either something shifts it like maybe McCain will decide to really fight ..maybe even tomorrow nite and pray for a huge GOP turnout to offset the higher number of Dems in this now most leftist on out history nation.

Simply claiming the polls a re lies and we are just fine is wrongheaded. (not you but some here in general)

However....I just got back from North Carolina and I don’t think it is the tossup some claim.

We are in a fight for our life against the most partisan media (who folks thought was dead..lol) I have ever seen in 50 years of breathing...exponentially more partisan.

They simply will not report any negative news on Obama or the Dems right now and are spinning even Moose farts in Obama’s favor.

McCain has to attach all of that and Obama in his entirety with not shite off the table or he will lose.

He will have to do better than he has so far.

In the real world Obama will be ahead only if 20% of white democrats who will never vote for a black person under any circumstance are going to vote for Obama. I simply do not see this happening. The post Jeremiah Wright democrat primaries showed us that this is a very important issue and it almost cost Obama the nomination. Obama simply got lucky because if the Reverend of hate, racism, and anti-Americanism story showed up in February then Hillary Clinton would have been the democrat nominee for certain. Not a single pollster dares to address this most important issue and that is why these polls are terribly flawed in addition to that they are over weighting democrats by 6 to 12 points.

As you said, we need to vote, donate, and encourage our relatives, friends, neighbors, and colleagues to vote for McCain/Palin and reject Jeremiah Wright apprentice.

This will be my first time ever that I will be voting as I became a very proud American citizen last June and I cannot wait to vote for John McCain on Elections Day.

Don’t buy the hype on that Bradley effect.

Most white liberals would like nothing better than to vote for a black man ....it would validate them and make them preen .

Look at the primary data, there was no Bradley effect in the Dem primaries to speak of....Obama got about the same votes he polled except in New Hampshire...where something else happened at the last minute to change the vote from the polls..can’t remember what it was....Pat Caddell mentioned thius just today on Fox radio.

the polls are overweighted to Dems I agree but right now registered Dems nationwide outnumber us by I think around 20%

thaty said, the polls do this on person

just go back and look how CBS skewed their weighing when Mccain had a nice (not as nice as Obama’s)m lead in September...maybe 3 points

Obama is up 3 points and it’s landslide in the making

Mccain up 3 and it’s a horse race

still....all these polls are not in conspiracy....not Rassmussen and Mason Dixon for sure and they are all showing Obama up

but like I said....GOP turns out record and we win....no question

I don’t think Mccain can inspire that but Palin damn sure can...I love her to death as does any outside the beltway righty I know

what will bring folks out is fear of Obama

which is why Mac has to pour the coal to it

The undecided in these polls are a major part of the Bradley effect. Almost all the undecided broke 90% in favor of Hillary Clinton during the primaries and the same will happen on November 4th when 90% of them will go to McCain. Also I am sure that some people are lying to the pollsters and saying that they are voting for Obama either because they are pushed to say they are going for Obama by the pollsters or because they just like to play with the pollsters, some freepers have posted that they have done this.

The thing is that not all democrats are liberals and a part of them will not vote for black person even if they are starving death and the black person promise them a million dollar each. I have seen some of them and I think that you have seen some as well.

Also even the most pro-Obama polls show that 25% to 30% of Hillary Clinton voters are voting for McCain. In this case then Obama has no chances in many battleground states such as Ohio, Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Colorado, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

You really don’t remember that every poll had Bush several points behind in Ohio right up until the very threshhold of the election? It’s one of the reasons the Dems thought we stole it!

feel free to disagree but the primaries indicated no Bradley effect at all

and no white Dem I know of here....actually I have heard of one old yellow dog granny...but aside none

course yellow dogs are in Mccain safe states anyhow

I will go out a limb here...

unless we see an upward shift in our favor by the last 3 days that puts us within 2-3 points in the nationwide polls then we are going to lose unless:

a) the Dems stay home...unliklely given Acorn etc

b) the GOP really turns out at least 10-15% more than normal
\
I’m telling ya’ll, the media is so far in the tank for this little big eared Beria wannabe don’t expect much to happen in the normal course to help us except something they can’t ignore...it’s crazy...the media is unbeleievable....they will parse anything that happens in Oabama and the Dems favor and Mac is not skilled enuff alone to fight that....Gingrich or Huckabee could have but it’s a tall order for someone not so gifted

...come to think of it...Gingrich had a tough time with the media too...all the good fighter have.....DeLay too.

Obama is at 50 or above in the three largest sampling polls which makes undecideds irrelavnt in those polls

granted they all weight Dems but that does reflect the populace...the Dems outnumber us but how many will either not vote or vote as PUMAs is debatable

in my mind we are no doubt behind and I’ve already elucidated what I think we have to do to win and I think high turnout for GOP is our best bet, I just don’t see Mac’s track record as being that he will do what it takes politically....scorched earth bascially and not let Obama get away with what the media is allowing him to do

and the final debate is his last chance for HIM to chage the tenor and tempo

baring that it could be unforeseen events thought he media will parse anything for Obama

hence back to gargantuan GOP tunrout needed
