I’m not looking for polls, but party ID breakdowns. It would be helpful to look at the party ID breakdowns from that period since that was when the GOP was in their worst shape, until now. It would be nice to compare those party ID breakdowns and those polls to today’s.
Worse shape until now....LOL! Oh please, give it a rest lefty.
Thanks for these posts. They show that the pollsters and their MSM masters are using the same MO.
Over here :)
I’m trying to contribute to a healthy discourse about the political landscape and the veracity of the current polls. Calling me a “lefty” because I may raise concerns or do not subscribe to the idea that Obama is going down in flames doesn’t do anything constructive. Frankly, I’m not real impressed with you.
Methinks you have (perhaps intentionally) missed the whole point.
The point: polls have been wrong for many election cycles. It suggests that the polls historically have maybe been misreported or twisted or whatever to show the democrat is winning. In 1978, for example, Minnesota Republicans won "unexpected" victories for US Senate and Governor. The Minneapolis (Red) Star had reported just prior to the election their polls indicated a democrat sweep. After the election they reported their polls had indicated the republicans would win, but "they didn't believe them". History can teach you things if you pay attention.
If your post included one of those invisible sarcasm tags, please excuse me for missing it.
The only problem with showing all of these past ‘04 Presidential polls is that it really doesn’t guarantee that the same results will happen again in ‘08 with a surprise Republican victory in the end. McCain/Palin can still seriously lose this thing, and the entire U.S. can still seriously be turned into a third world socialistic country forever! It will be mostly John McCain’s fault, if McCain/Palin does officially lose on November 4, because the MSM and all Democratic Party allies are expected to be against the Republicans and against conservatives, no matter how bad and negative and dirty the ‘08 Presidential race gets. McCain continuously “playing nice” towards Obama isn’t helping McCain at all, and it’s even disappointing and upsetting all of McCain’s supporters, as it should be.
Good, I don't have any liberal friends and frankly I don't want any.
If people like you are representative of the conservative activists that make up the base, we’re in bigger trouble than I thought. Grow up friend, I’m trying to create and foster a REAL discourse on the REALITY of this race and conservatism in general. You want to be optimistic, fine. I don’t fault anyone for that. However, being overly pollyannish in the face of mounting evidence to the contrary doesn’t help. People like you should be contributing to this discourse, not dismissing everyone who thinks differently than you.
LOL!
I like it. This is what some of us have been trying to ‘splain to others, mostly to no avail.
But this election is over don’t you know. Polls and media say so. Don’t you beleive it?
I don’t.
