Dear Senator McCain, here's what you need to do.

l. Tie the economic meltdown to the demise of rural americas loss of manufacturing jobs. The loss of financing for small business is directly related to the outsourcing of jobs in america. The FDIC long ago told local banks to stop financing small business.

2. The current bailouts are a result of greed and the mismanagment of capital that flowed to wall street when financing dried up in rural america.

3. The so called "new economy" that was supposed to take the place of manufacturing has now been outsourced to cheap labor countries.

4. Our problem is a problem of income. Manufacturing jobs replaced by hamburger flipping jobs has reduced us to a debtor nation that is headed for third world status. We must RETURN MANUFACTURING TO AMERICA.

The FDIC does not dictate terms to banks, unless the bank is insolvent. It’s an INSURANCE agency.

The FDIC knew the game plan. Rape rural america and send all the money to wall street. The fact that they insure the money gives them ABSOLUTE control on how the local banks disperse their funds. In effect they told the local banks to suspend their charters which instructed them to loan money locally in order to sustain economic growth.

There’s certainly no shortage of free advice for the candidate, is there?

The bulk of it worth exactly the price paid...

Where is your source for that startling statement?

How about telling the truth. He should say something like this:

Dear Americans: You elected my fellow Republicans and me to stop big spending and big government. However, we failed you. We failed to live up to the Contract with America. Once we got to Washington, we got greedy and then allowed influences of power to corrupt us until we were no better than the Democrats. Then, because we thought it would keep us in power, we started acting ashamed of our American, conservative values and decided that we would try to appease you with tax cuts, but appease the left with spending also. My friends, this was worse than the Democrats because, not only did we sell out our base which are true Americans based on what the Constitution defines as Americans, but we deceived everybody and ran the nation into the worst financial mess in history. So my friends, I will no longer capitulate to those I used to call my "friends from the other side of the isle" and I will stand for you, America as it was created. America is the greatest nation on earth, and, in its very brief history, became the wealthiest-most powerful-nation ever. But, we've ruined it. But, if you give me a chance, I will defeat Socialism before it strangles our way of life for good. I will cut spending to less than 1/3rd of what it is now and will consult the Constitution, Free Republic, the Heritage Foundation, and the CATO Institute before acting on any legislation so that I am more informed on my decisions and what God and our forefathers wanted at our nation's birth. Please forgive me and give me the chance to be a real alternative to the socialist Democrats so that they don't ruin our nation.

(Alright, I'll wake up now. It will never happen.)

Every FReeper who considers themselves a thinker should post their vanity here, and not in the chat section, and tell McCain how to win this election. We may not win the election but at least we’ll generate a ton of gibberish.

Ask the catfish farmers. Ask the small business owners of main street america. Ask the banks. They will tell you that they have been restricted in making loans to small busnisses in their home towns. The FDIC dictated that local deposits be invested in govt. securities rather than in local business.

Wonder how many of them have managed a campaign and gotten their candidate elected.

I’ve been wondering what has happened to America’s can do spirit. We’ve risen to every challenge we’ve been presented and suceeded. We are a powerhouse of innovation, and have been so as long as we have been a country. We have fought and overcome the problems that plague many nations in this world to this very day. For all of our faults, there is no other country on this planet where I would want to be right now. Keep that in mind.

I agree with you; we are the greatest nation on earth. And, we can do anything we put our minds to as long we have somebody who is one of us, representing us. That was my point. McCain needs to resolve to be one of us or be gone so that Palin, or even somebody more conservative can fill in. Either support our Republican platform or be a democrat, but this riding the fence and selling out the platform as most of them have done is why we lost power so quickly and why we are almost unelectable.

That wasn’t the way it worked when I worked on contract for the FDIC.
