Bambi is about as funny as Ann Curry, who did some stunt on the Today Show (I didn’t watch the result) with stand-up comedians to improve her sense of humor.

Newsflash: If you don’t HAVE a sense of humor to begin with, reading joke after joke is like not knowing how to get out of a deep hole: first, stop digging!

Obama stated: “Contrary to some reports, I was not born in a manger. I was sent here from Krypton by my father Jor-El to save the Earth.”

That’s news to me!!! He’s not the messiah, he’s Superman!!!!

I have mixed feelings on allowing a slimey babykiller access to this pulpit.

Me too. But, if they hadn't, we would have missed John's great performance...

That said, McCain did a GREAT job from start to finish. Way better than his debates.

Obama didn't have the same material, delivery, or timing. And his self-deprecating material never hit close to anything substantial (i.e., Wright or Ayers), unlike McCain's reference to his seven houses.

Reminds me of the scene in the movie “Great Balls of Fire” where Chuck Berry is slated to close the show (it was in his contract) and Jerry Lee Lewis during his performance just before Chuck sets the piano on fire. As he’s leaving the stage, Jerry says to Chuck, “Top that, Killer.”

“’I have a feeling some of you are pulling for me.’”
He received loud and sustained applause.”

I thought it might be because it was a Catholic charity, and they’re with him on the abortion thing. Of course, the place was chock full of MSM critters, too. Hard to say...

“And then NObama had to get up and be a huge buzz-kill.”

Did you notice how Obama did a “he he” mini snicker after his lines, a la Beavis and Butthead? So dorky. McCain’s delivery was so much better!

Yes, you’re right about it being more or less a Catholic audience, but I think it reveals how a large segment of Democrat voters truly lean. I bet Obama was quite surprised at the response to McCain as well. Watch for some kind of post-Al Smith Dinner shift in the O’s message aimed at these “refuseniks.”

McCain delivered his lines perfectly. I really enjoyed the break from the tenseness of the overall race. Humor is awesome!
