But, tho I really don’t care for him or his humor, Barry’s line about “Hussein was a middle name given to me by someone who didn’t think I’d be running for President” was delicious. Of course, it’s humor based on reality....

McQueeq gets along quite well with democrats..
Could be a choice appointment for him after he looses..
Could be the plan all along..

John has shied away from using the terms democrat socialist or ACORNs espionage like the Coup D'Etat is not happening..

McCain had my kids and I cracking up, but I will admit that we chuckled a bit at Obama also. Gotta admit he had a couple of pretty good lines. I think they seemed less funny because McCain just plain rocked. And it was hilarious the way McCain ended talking about Obama was going to be the funniest 15 minutes ever, and if he didn’t pull it off he might lose a couple of swing states.

He said if he pulls this off it will be a long night at MSNBC, that Olberman already had a sign printed that said mission accomplished, and they would have to hang it in the padded room they had ready for him. He said if Olberman needed any designing tips on the sign, McCain would be more than happy to tell him where to put it...

Obama should bone up by watching “Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World”.

Suggestion: Comedy sells!

Remember everyone looking positive towards Dole after he did the funny commercials after losing the election?

So... Send this YouTube link to everyone on you email list. Help get it up into the most watched etc:

undecided to decided :)

McCain was very funny — he has always had this side to him, he si wll known in Washington for having a quick and cutting wit.

Conventions wisdom in the McCain-camp appears to be that this side of him can easily go from funny to mean-spirited... his handlers apparently really wanted him to NOT show this side of himself especially in the debates and other extemporaneous situations.

“Al Smith” was deemed a safe place to unleash “this” McCain because:

A. the event is famously as close as politics gets to a no-holds-barred kind of roast
b. the speech was pre-written and screened by campaign folks
c. the Al Smith Dinner has a fairly limited, “wonky” audience

I (for one) wish we had seen much more of this McCain over the last 3 months or so — if only for the entertainment value — but the fear that McCain could “go to far” was probably a reasonable one — apparently, he can be a crusty old so-and-so

By comparison, Senator Obama was not that good at all. He doesn’t seem to have a knack for humor.
